🇯🇵🐄 In Japan, researchers discovered a surprisingly simple and eco-friendly way to protect cows from insect bites: painting them with zebra-like black and white stripes. Their study found that this pattern can reduce fly landings by more than 50%, especially around sensitive areas like the heels.

They used non-toxic paint on black cows and observed that the striped animals experienced fewer bites and showed less discomfort—fewer tail flicks, head shakes, and other defensive movements.
