Dropping on 26th May on Klikk, this Bengali-language series pays tribute to Satyajit Rayâs timeless classic Sonar Kella on its 50th anniversary, reimagining a thrilling desert journey with a fresh and contemporary twist.
Plot Tease
A Bengali family's vacation to the golden sands of Jaisalmer takes a dark turn when they unknowingly step into a drug cartel conspiracy. What begins as a homage to Sonar Kella turns into a high-stakes survival story. Packed with secrets, emotional turmoil, and shocking revelations, this five-episode thriller promises to keep audiences at the edge of their seats.

Folk music arrangements blended with mystery motifs set a distinct tone. Singer Sayari Dutta did a great job along with Sameek Kundu
Final Thoughts
Jaisalmer Jomjomat feels like a heartfelt tribute to Rayâs legacy, yet it creates its own identity through a modern narrative filled with danger, emotion, and suspense. The trailer does an excellent job of setting the mood without giving too much away. It promises not just a nostalgic trip, but a thrilling ride through the golden sands of Rajasthan.
Verdict: A well-crafted trailer that raises high expectations. Bengali OTT content just got a significant boost.
