Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has announced a ₹628 crore project to build a 50-kilometre road running parallel to the Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar metro line. The existing four-lane stretch will be upgraded into a six-lane concrete carriageway with service roads, cycle tracks, footpaths, bus bays, parking lanes and utility ducts. The project cost includes land acquisition, landscaping, electrification, utility shifting and central median construction, while a consultant will be appointed for surveys, design and monitoring. Tenders have already been floated, with plans to construct nearly 25 km of road on either side of the metro corridor. While officials argue the new road will complement the metro and provide utility corridors, some civic activists and motorists believe such expansion could encourage private vehicle use and worsen traffic congestion.

USAVN School created a golden chapter in its sports journey as both the Under-14 and Under-19 Table Tennis Teams clinched the 1st position at the Inter-School District Level Table Tennis Tournament held at Mangal Murti Sabhagruh, Bhandara.

The highlight of this victory is that every single player from both teams secured 1st place individually as well.

BCCI सचिव देवजीत सैकिया ने एशिया कप 2025 में भारत-पाकिस्तान मैच खेलने के फैसले का बचाव किया है। अप्रैल में हुए पहलगाम आतंकी हमले में 26 लोगों की मौत के बाद कई लोग इस मैच के बहिष्कार की मांग कर रहे थे।

सैकिया का कहना है कि यह मैच बहु-देशीय टूर्नामेंट का हिस्सा है, इसलिए भारत अकेले इसमें भाग न लेने का फैसला नहीं कर सकता। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि अगर भारत ऐसे मैचों का बहिष्कार करता है तो भविष्य में बड़े अंतरराष्ट्रीय टूर्नामेंट की मेज़बानी पर असर पड़ सकता है।

Yesterday evening in Mosale Hosalli village, Hassan district, a tanker lorry rammed into a Ganpati immersion procession. The crash killed nine people—including villagers and engineering students—and injured twenty-two others.
