We are proud of you, Meghalaya Police ! Once again, you have proven your capabilities and brought redemption to the people of Meghalaya. This incident has caught the attention of national media, which labeled our state as crime-prone hills and unsafe for tourists. Now, I would like to ask them! Will you apologize for trying to tarnish our State's reputation without properly concluding the investigation?
Negative comments about our state often come from the individuals of a particular neighboring state, but I firmly say that "Meghalaya is the safest place for tourists." Such crimes are committed by individuals from other states, like in 2023 a news surfaced that a woman from Assam, along with her friends, disposed of her husband's dismembered body in deep gorge on the Shillong-Cherrapunjee road.
From the case of Muskan Rastogi to that of now Sonam Raghuvanshi, such news came from mainland States. I especially feel pity for the men from these mainland areas.
