Possibility of Babila Rakhwal Taking Charge as Secretary Health J&K Gains Ground

Jammu | The Life Observer

In the wake of recent transfers of several IAS officers from Jammu and Kashmir to other states, administrative realignments are underway across key departments of the Union Territory. In this context, Babila Rakhwal, a senior JKAS officer and presently serving as Commissioner Secretary, Cooperative Department, has emerged as the favourite to take over as Secretary, Health & Medical Education, J&K.

The reshuffle has created the need for continuity at senior decision-making levels, particularly in priority sectors such as health and medical education. The department is currently overseeing critical initiatives related to healthcare delivery, medical college expansion, infrastructure strengthening, and implementation of central and UT-sponsored health schemes.

Babila Rakhwal is regarded as an experienced administrator with a strong record in departmental management. Her possible induction is seen as part of a broader effort to ensure smooth functioning of the Health Department during the ongoing administrative transition.

Any appointment or posting, however, will be subject to approval by the competent authority and communicated through official government orders.

Dec 26/ 2025 Jammu / Srinagar

On the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) pays heartfelt tribute to a statesman whose quiet resolve and unwavering integrity reshaped India’s economic and democratic foundations.

Why did RJD MP Manoj Jha say in Parliament that “some invisible forces are chanting ‘Om Shanti Om’?”
A sharp, symbolic remark that sparked discussion inside the House and is now making waves outside. Watch and decide what message he was sending.
