💔 Just saw a post about a guy in Kashmir who lost 90 lakhs in some online betting app. It’s crazy how last year, when someone won big, Facebook “journalists” made him a “star” on Facebook. But now, this is the harsh reality. 😞

Online betting might seem fun and exciting, but it can seriously mess up lives. Most people end up losing way more than they win. We need to be careful and think twice before getting caught up in this stuff. Stay safe, everyone! ✌️

There’s a post going around on Facebook saying that Jammu and Kashmir is one of the top states in India for watching p**n, claiming it was based on reports from Times of India, News18, and India Today. It also mentioned stats like J&K accounting for 37.4% of p**n consumption and a study by TRAI ranking it highest in per capita consumption. Many pages have posted/copy-pasted it.

The issue? The posts didn’t have any source links.🤷‍♂️ I personally searched on Google using different keywords and even tried Google dorking, but couldn’t find anything that backs these claims. If anyone has a credible source or report, please share. It would actually help.

Anyways, this has become a trend now—posting random claims without any proof just for clicks or some pennies. But it has bigger consequences. Spreading misinformation or disinformation can mislead people, cause unnecessary panic, and ruin trust in genuine news.

WHAT CAN WE DO? 💡

Whenever you see posts like this, stop and verify. Practice lateral reading, which means leaving the post and checking what other reliable sources are saying about the same topic. Don’t just stick to one article or post—cross-check facts to make sure it’s true.

Let’s make social media better. Say no to unverified and clickbait content. Keep things meaningful! 📰
