Edible Family History!

Do you or your family make any special dishes for the holidays? Our cinnamon star cookies are more than a recipe. They're our family's edible history. Each December, my grandmother's handwritten card becomes our guide for mixing, cutting, and decorating these spiced wonders. This cherished tradition blends culinary heritage with sensory joy, turning our kitchen into a hub of intergenerational connection and memory making.

Interoception Decoded, How Body Signals Lead to Meltdowns and What Families Can Do to Help

Interoception sounds like a complicated science term, but it simply means how we feel the signals inside our body. Teens and parents deal with these signals every day even if they do not think about it. Hunger, thirst, a fast heartbeat, warm cheeks, tight muscles, all of these are body messages. For autistic and ADHD kids and even adults these signals can feel louder or confusing which sometimes leads to sudden meltdowns....

Secret Hour Sanctuary!

If you didn't need sleep, what would you do with all the extra time? I'd unlock the secret hours for creative exploration. Mastering piano under moonlight, painting constellations that tell stories, and writing adventure novels where the characters learn emotional intelligence. This would be a sanctuary for passion projects that build lifelong skills in creativity and problem solving, all while the quiet world sleeps.

When Smart Tech Spots Reading Struggles Early, How AI is Changing Dyslexia Screening in Primary School

Parents and teens hear the word AI so often that it almost feels like background noise, but in primary schools it is quietly doing something pretty amazing. It is helping teachers spot early signs of dyslexia before kids feel lost or frustrated. In the past, many children were identified only after they struggled for years, which made reading feel like climbing a mountain in flip flops....

Smarter Than a Report Card, How AI Is Helping Detect Dyslexia Early in Primary School

For years, dyslexia often went unnoticed until a child started failing tests or avoiding books in upper classes. By then, their confidence is already damaged, and parents are worried.
