The Lasting Legacy of Paramahansa Yogananda(132nd Birth Anniversary Special)

Our world is a dream within a dream; you must realize that to find God is the only goal, the only purpose for which you are here.

The beloved Guru, Sri Sri Paramhansa Yogananda, often expressed that the highest purpose of human life is to seek God. Everything else can wait but one’s search for God.

Yoganandaji was born Mukund Lal Ghosh to devout Bengali parents, Gyan Prabha, and Bhagbati Charan Ghosh, on 5th January 1893 in Gorakhpur. When Gyan Prabha visited her Guru, Lahiri Mahasaya, with baby Mukunda in her arms, the great saint had blessed her, saying, “Little mother thy son will be a yogi. As a spiritual engine he will carry many souls to God’s kingdom.

The sacred prophecy was to come true in times to come. As a child, Mukund would pray deeply to Ma Kaali and meditate. On one such occasion, he fell into a deep reverie and saw an immense flash of light in his inner vision.

As he marvelled at the supernal light he queried, “What is this wondrous glow to which he received a heavenly response I am Ishwar, I am Light. On this other-worldly experience, Yoganandaji wrote in his autobiography, “Out of the slow dwindling of my divine ecstasy, I salvaged a permanent legacy of inspiration to seek God.

In 1910, at seventeen, he embarked on a spiritual journey in search of God. This quest led him to his revered guru, Swami Yukteswarji. Under his guru’s loving yet strict guidance, he embraced the sacred monkhood of the Swami order, adopting the name Paramahansa Yogananda, which signifies the attainment of the highest bliss through union with God.
In 1917, he founded the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) in Ranchi and the Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) in Los Angeles in 1920.

The primary aim of these two organizations is to disseminate the ancient spiritual science of ‘Kriya Yoga’ meditation techniques, to realize life’s ultimate purpose - the union of the soul with God. Aspirants can receive these sacred teachings, written by the great master himself, as home-study lessons upon request from the YSS Ashrams.

While in the USA, Yoganandaji worked tirelessly to spread the wisdom of the above Indian spiritual practices, which were very well received and appreciated. Driven by a longing to share his quest for God, he undertook to write the highly acclaimed spiritual masterpiece, ‘Autobiography of a Yogi’ a book that has had a deep impact on countless individuals around the globe and has been translated into over 50 languages.

His extensive teachings have profoundly influenced millions of people, and cover a wide range of subjects, focusing especially on: 1) The science of ‘Kriya Yoga’ meditation, which is an advanced Raja Yoga technique, drawing human consciousness to higher levels of perception. 2) The deep-rooted unity present in all true religions. 3) Ways to achieve a balanced life encompassing physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

The respected Jagadguru is now recognized as one of the most impactful ambassadors of India’s ancient teachings worldwide. श्री श्री परमहंस योगानन्द की स्थायी विरासत (132वीं जयन्ती पर विशेष)

04 जनवरी 2025 हमारा संसार एक स्वप्न के अन्दर एक स्वप्न है आपको यह अनुभव करना चाहिए कि ईश्वर-प्राप्ति ही एकमात्र लक्ष्य है, एकमात्र उद्देश्य है जिसके लिए आप यहां हैं।

श्री श्री परमहंस योगानन्द प्रिय गुरुदेव श्री श्री परमहंस योगानन्द प्राय कहा करते थे कि मानव जीवन का सर्वोच्च उद्देश्य ईश्वर की खोज करना है। अन्य सब कुछ प्रतीक्षा कर सकता है परन्तु ईश्वर की खोज नहीं।

योगानन्दजी का जन्म 5 जनवरी 1893 को गोरखपुर में धर्मनिष्ठ बंगाली माता-पिता ज्ञानप्रभा और भगवतीचरण घोष के परिवार में हुआ था।

उनका बचपन का नाम मुकुन्दलाल घोष था। जब ज्ञानप्रभा अपने गुरु लाहिड़ी महाशय के पास अपनी गोद में शिशु मुकुन्द को लेकर गईं तो महान् सन्त ने उन्हें आशीर्वाद देते हुए कहा छोटी माँ तुम्हारा पुत्र एक योगी होगा।

एक आध्यात्मिक इंजन की भाँति वह अनेक आत्माओं को ईश्वर के राज्य में ले जाएगा कालान्तर में यह पवित्र भविष्यवाणी सत्य सिद्ध हुई बचपन में मुकुन्द माँ काली से गहन प्रार्थना और ध्यान किया करते थे ऐसे ही एक अवसर पर, वे एक गहन दिवास्वप्न में डूब गए और उनकी अन्तर्दृष्टि के सामने एक प्रखर प्रकाश कौंध गया।

वे इस दिव्य प्रकाश को देखकर आश्चर्यचकित हो गए और उन्होंने पूछा यह अद्भुत् आलोक क्या है उन्हें इस प्रश्न का एक दैवी प्रत्युत्तर प्राप्त हुआ मैं ईश्वर हूँ। मैं प्रकाश हूँ। योगानन्दजी ने अपनी पुस्तक “योगी कथामृत” में इस अलौकिक अनुभव का वर्णन किया है वह ईश्वरीय आनन्द क्रमशः क्षीण होता गया पर मुझे उससे ब्रह्म की खोज करने की प्रेरणा की स्थायी विरासत प्राप्त हुई।

सन् 1910 में, सत्रह वर्ष की आयु में उन्होंने अपनी ईश्वर की खोज की आध्यात्मिक यात्रा प्रारम्भ की यह खोज उन्हें उनके पूज्य गुरुदेव स्वामी श्रीयुक्तेश्वरजी के पास ले गई। अपने गुरु के प्रेमपूर्ण परन्तु कठोर मार्गदर्शन में, उन्होंने स्वामी परम्परा के अन्तर्गत पवित्र संन्यास का आलिंगन किया।

वे अपने सन्यासी नाम परमहंस योगानन्द से प्रसिद्ध हुए, जो ईश्वर के साथ एकत्व के माध्यम से सर्वोच्च आनन्द की प्राप्ति का प्रतीक है उन्होंने सन् 1917 में रांची में योगदा सत्संग सोसाइटी ऑफ़ इण्डिया (वाईएसएस) और सन् 1920 में लॉस एंजेलिस में सेल्फ़-रियलाइज़ेशन फ़ेलोशिप (एसआरएफ़) की स्थापना की।

इन दोनों संगठनों का प्राथमिक उद्देश्य है जीवन के परम उद्देश्य—अर्थात् आत्मा का परमात्मा से साथ एकत्व—को साकार करने के लिए “क्रियायोग” ध्यान प्रविधियों के प्राचीन आध्यात्मिक विज्ञान का प्रसार करना। आकांक्षी साधक योगदा सत्संग आश्रमों से अनुरोध करके गृह-अध्ययन पाठमाला के रूप में स्वयं महान् गुरुदेव द्वारा प्रदान की गयी इन पवित्र शिक्षाओं को प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।

योगानन्दजी ने अमेरिका में रहते हुए उपरोक्त भारतीय आध्यात्मिक साधना के ज्ञान के प्रसार के लिए अथक प्रयत्न किया जिसका अत्यधिक स्वागत किया गया और सराहना की गयी।

ईश्वर की अपनी खोज को सबके साथ साझा करने की लालसा से प्रेरित होकर उन्होंने अत्यन्त प्रसिद्ध एवं अति उत्कृष्ट आध्यात्मिक पुस्तक योगी कथामृत लिखने का निर्णय किया, जिसने सम्पूर्ण विश्व में असंख्य व्यक्तियों को गहनता से प्रभावित किया है और इस पुस्तक का 50 से अधिक भाषाओं में अनुवाद हो चुका है।

उनकी अतिव्यापक शिक्षाओं ने लाखों लोगों को गहनता से प्रभावित किया है। उनकी शिक्षाओं में विषयों की एक विस्तृत श्रृंखला सम्मिलित है तथा वे विशेष रूप से निम्न विषयों पर केन्द्रित हैं।

(1) क्रियायोग ध्यान विज्ञान जो मनुष्य की चेतना को अनुभूति के उच्चतर स्तरों तक ले जाने वाली राजयोग की एक उन्नत प्रविधि है
(2) सभी सच्चे धर्मों में विद्यमान गहन एकता तथा (3) शारीरिक, मानसिक और आध्यात्मिक कल्याण को एक साथ ध्यान में रखते हुए सन्तुलित जीवन जीने के उपाय।

पूज्य जगद्गुरु की गिनती अब सम्पूर्ण विश्व में प्राचीन भारतीय शिक्षाओं के सबसे प्रभावशाली दूतों में की जाती है। उनका जीवन और शिक्षाएँ सभी क्षेत्रों तथा सभी जातियों संस्कृतियों और मतों के व्यक्तियों के लिए प्रेरणा एवं उत्साह का एक शाश्वत स्रोत हैं।

THDCIL Wins India’s Best Hydropower Project Enterprise at the 17th PRAKASHmay ENERTIA Awards 2024

31 December 2024 THDC India Limited (THDCIL) a leading Public Sector Undertaking, has been adjudicated as the winner of "India’s Best Hydropower Project Enterprise (Storage Hydropower & Development of PSPs)

at the PRAKASHmay 17th ENERTIA Award 2024, India & South Asia’s premier awards for excellence in sustainable energy, power, and renewables.

The prestigious award was conferred by Shri Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairperson, CEA, along with several renowned experts from the Indian power sector, at a glittering ceremony held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

31 दिसंबर 2024 टीएचडीसी इंडिया लिमिटेड (टीएचडीसीआईएल) सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के अग्रणी उद्यम को 17वें प्रकाशमय एनर्टिया पुरस्कार 2024 भारत की सर्वश्रेष्ठ जलविद्युत परियोजना उद्यम (भंडारण जलविद्युत एवं पीएसपी का विकास) का विजेता चुना गया।

भारत और दक्षिण एशिया का यह प्रमुख पुरस्कार सतत ऊर्जा बिजली और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा में उत्कृष्टता के लिए प्रदान किया जाता है। यह प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार आंध्र प्रदेश के विशाखापत्तनम में आयोजित एक भव्य समारोह में सीईए के अध्यक्ष श्री घनश्याम प्रसाद और भारतीय विद्युत क्षेत्र के प्रसिद्ध विशेषज्ञों की उपस्थिति में प्रदान किया गया।

SJVN’s Rampur HPS achieves its Design Energy for FY 2024-25 over Three Months in advance.

SJVN's 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station has achieved its design energy target of 1878.08 million units for the financial year 2024-25 on 18th December 2024. This record has been clocked over three months ahead of schedule. This marks the second-fastest record for design energy generation by Rampur HPS, closely following the earlier record set on 15.12.2019 during FY 2019-20.

These accomplishments reflect the high technical standards, efficient maintenance practices and operational excellence practiced by the power station. Rampur HPS is being operated as Tandem Operating System with 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station which is an exceptional model in India’s hydropower sector.

Rampur HPS recently celebrated 10 years of successful commercial operations, marking a decade of significant contributions to clean energy generation and regional growth. Over the past decade, Rampur HPS has achieved several remarkable milestones. The power station has crossed significant milestone of generating over 20,000 million units while achieving its design energy target in 8 out of 10 years.

The power station recorded its highest-ever annual generation of 2098.0314 million units in FY 2019-20 and Highest ever quarterly generation of 955.6156 million units and Highest ever single-day generation of 11.0232 million units in current fiscal. With an impressive maximum Plant Availability Factor of 106.411%, Rampur HPS has generated ₹8,000 crores in revenue over the decade. एसजेवीएन की रामपुर एचपीएस ने वित्तीय वर्ष 2024-25 के लिए अपनी डिजाइन ऊर्जा तीन माह पूर्व हासिल की ।

20 दिसंबर 2024 एसजेवीएन के 412 मेगावाट रामपुर जल विदयुत स्टेशन ने 18 दिसंबर 2024 को वित्तीय वर्ष 2024-25 के लिए 1878.08 मिलियन यूनिट का अपना डिज़ाइन ऊर्जा लक्ष्य हासिल किया ।

यह रिकॉर्ड तय समय से तीन माह पूर्व ही हासिल कर लिया गया है। यह रिकार्ड रामपुर एचपीएस द्वारा डिज़ाइन ऊर्जा उत्पादन का दूसरा सबसे तीव्र रिकॉर्ड है जो वित्तीय वर्ष 2019-20 के दौरान दिनांक 15.12.2019 को बनाए गए गत रिकॉर्ड के काफी नजदीक है।

ये उपलब्धियाँ विदयुत स्टेशन द्वारा अपनाए गए उच्च तकनीकी मानकों कुशल रखरखाव एवं प्रचालनात्‍मक उत्कृष्टता को दर्शाती हैं।

रामपुर एचपीएस को 1500 मेगावाट नाथपा झाकड़ी जल विदयुत स्टेशन के टेण्‍डम आधार पर प्रचालित किया जा रहा है जो भारत के जलविद्युत क्षेत्र में एक असाधारण मॉडल है।

हाल ही में रामपुर एचपीएस ने सफल वाणिज्यिक प्रचालन के 10 वर्ष पूर्ण किए, जो स्वच्छ ऊर्जा उत्पादन एवं क्षेत्रीय विकास में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान का एक दशक रहा है। गत एक दशक में रामपुर एचपीएस ने कई उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धियां हासिल की हैं।

विदयुत स्टेशन ने 20,000 मिलियन यूनिट से अधिक विदयुत उत्पादन करने की महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि को पार कर लिया है। विदयुत स्टेशन ने वित्तीय वर्ष 2019-20 में 2098.0314 मिलियन यूनिट का अब तक का सर्वाधिक वार्षिक विदयुत उत्पादन और वर्तमान वित्तीय वर्ष में 955.6156 मिलियन यूनिट का अब तक का सर्वाधिक तिमाही एवं 11.0232 मिलियन यूनिट का अब तक का सर्वाधिक एकल-दिवसीय विदयुत उत्पादन हासिल किया है।

106.411% के प्रभावशाली अधिकतम संयंत्र उपलब्धता कारक के साथ, रामपुर एचपीएस ने एक दशक में ₹8,000 करोड़ का राजस्व अर्जित किया है। रामपुर एचपीएस ने कारपोरेट सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व पहल के अंतर्गत 37 करोड़ रूपए खर्च किए हैं

जिससे परियोजना प्रभावित क्षेत्रों और आसपास के क्षेत्रों के विकास में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान मिला है एसजेवीएन इस उपलब्धि का श्रेय एसजेवीएन के प्रबंधन के मार्गदर्शन में एसजेवीएनाइटस विशेषतया आरएचपीएस टीम के समर्पण और सहयोगात्मक प्रयासों को देता है

THDCIL and REC Sign MoU for Development of High-Performance Water Sports Academy at Koteshwar

15 December 2024 In a significant step towards transforming the landscape of sports development in India, THDC India Limited a leading power generation Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) and REC Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for financial collaboration of ₹4 crore to develop an Olympic-size pool at Koteshwar High-Performance Water Sports Academy, Uttarakhand.

This significant collaboration underscores THDCIL’s commitment to promoting world-class sports infrastructure in India. The MoU was signed in the esteemed presence of Vivek Kumar Dewangan, CMD, REC, Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel)

THDCIL and Harsh Baweja, Director (Finance) REC R.K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDC India Limited, conveyed his heartfelt wishes on the signing of this groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with REC Limited.

Vishnoi added that “through our CSR activities we are equally focused on contribution to the overall socio- economic development of the nation. The establishment of an Olympic-size pool at the Koteshwar High-Performance Water Sports Academy is the example of our dedication to nurturing athletic talent and promoting excellence in water sports.

Shallinder Singh Director (Personnel), THDCIL, emphasized that the “This collaboration with REC is another step towards setting new benchmarks in Corporate Social Responsibility and community engagement. The Olympic-size pool aims to create world-class sports infrastructure that will not only cater to national talent but also prepare athletes for international-level competitions, CSR activities in sports play a key role in building infrastructure, improving training, and helping develop skills, which can boost community well-being and support athletes.
