Respected District Collector Tenzing D.Denjongpa along with CEO Gyalshing Sri Pema G.Bhutia, Dy Director Education Department Sri Dinesh Pradhan ,DIO Sri Krishna Limboo,DPO Sri Pem Dorjee Bhutia and others officers were visited the Rimbik Government Secondary School on 12/09/2025 to enquired about the devastating landslide that occurred on 11/09/2025 and its continuous rainfall 3 individuals lives has been lost along with some properties.School going student Ms Angel Rai (7) of class-II who got rescued next day since incident.Similarly maternal aunt of Angel Rai Smt Mon May Rai was also saved on the same day of the incident.The duo has been referred to Socheygang Hospital for further treatment.District collector along with Sri Pema G.Bhutia had also inspected the drains of the school which seems to be danger during monsoon.They also saw the students toilets and school infrastructure for the students safety.They assured to School HM & staffs to provide every possible support from the department.Concerned Ward panchayat Ms Sancha Kri Limboo along with some SMCs members were also present during the official visit.

Today on 13/09/2025 (Saturday) School Headmaster Sri G M S***a visited the Socheygang Hospital, Gangtok to see the health condition of Ms Angel Rai age (7) who studied in class II and has got alive after 12 hours being washed away by a heavy landslide that occurred on 11/09/2025 due to continuous rainfall where her father lt.Bimal Rai and her mama lt.Bhim Pd Limboo has been expired on the spot.Similarly Angel Mother lt.Anita Limboo was also expired on the way to hospital after being saved from the incident.Presently Angel is under medical observation at Socheygang Hospital Gangtok.According to medical report,she has the problem of shoulder fracture, ankle & head problem with multiple minor injuries in whole parts of the body.Lets pray to Almighty God for the beloved Angel Rai for her early recovery.

School health and wellness teacher along with School HM paid visit to the nearby shop of the school to give awareness and counsels regarding not to sell the tobaccos in an around school.Under section 6B COPTA act 2003 , there is an act of not selling of the tobacco,cigarettes and Bedi to the students and minors along with 100 yards of any of the educational institutions.If any one is violating it there is a provisions to booked under it with fine and imprisonment.

Pre-International Literacy Day was observed in the school in advance with various activities which is supposed to be falls on 8th September.The program began with the powerful speech presented by Mr Binay Rai TTM over I.L.D in detais.Ms Sushma Limboo PRT (Limboo) was also there to assist him.Besides this, HM of the school also shared its aim and objectives in eradicating the illiteracy in the nation.We also organised various activities such as brief Essay writing, Reading and so on to spread the awareness on importance of Education among the students and its masses.Program was truly enriching and meaningful.

National Sports day was celebrated on 29.08.25 in order to honour famous sports legendary Major Dhyan Chand aimed to foster the importance of sports and its role in the society and as a whole.School sports incharge Mr Sandeep sir gave his valuable speech on sports and games followed by Games and sports Prefect Master Abishek Rai Cl-X in the morning assembly.HM of the school also spokes the contribution that made by the major Dhyan chand in the field of sports as well as it's benifits in the all round development of the nation.In the after noon session,we also able to conduct some activities on sports and rally to aware the publics.Celebration was really a meaningful and appreciable where each and everyone participated actively.
