Shree Sanatan Dharma Sabha J&K Demanded immediate Action Against Alleged Forced Conversion Activities in Kathua
The Shree Sanatan Dharma Sabha, Jammu & Kashmir, today expressed grave concern over the recent incident in Kathua, where Christian missionaries were allegedly involved in activities aimed at forced religious conversion of vulnerable members of the Hindu community.
Parshotam Dadhichi, President of the Shree Sanatan Dharma Sabha, J&K, issued a strong statement condemning the alleged systematic attempts to undermine the religious and cultural fabric of the region.
Key Highlights of the Statement:-
Condemnation of Conversion Attempts: "The Sanatan Dharma Sabha strongly condemns the nefarious and deceitful practices being employed by certain Christian missionary groups to lure poor and gullible members of our community into conversion. Using inducements like money, promises of employment, and health services is a direct assault on the fundamental right to religion and amounts to coercion, not free choice."
Appreciation for Police Action:- "We welcome the prompt action taken by the Jammu and Kashmir Police to register an FIR against the accused missionaries under sections pertaining to alleged religious conversion and outraging religious feelings. This decisive step sends a clear message that such activities will not be tolerated on the soil of Jammu and Kashmir."
Demand for Strict Laws and Investigation:- "We urge the UT Administration and the Central Government to enact a strong Anti-Conversion Law in Jammu & Kashmir immediately, to safeguard the Sanatan Dharma and prevent such incidents from recurring. We demand a time-bound and thorough investigation into the entire network operating in the Kathua region and beyond, ensuring all culprits behind this illegal religious exploitation are brought to book."
Appeal for Unity: "The Sanatan Dharma Sabha appeals to the entire Hindu community to remain united, vigilant, and reject any attempts by external forces to destabilize our society. We assure our community members that the Sabha stands firmly with them and will use all legal and democratic means to protect our heritage and faith."
Shri Dadhichi called upon all religious and community leaders to stand together to oppose forced conversions and work for the preservation of communal harmony, urging the administration to ensure the safety and dignity of the local population.
