Drug Peddler apprehended with Narcotics in Kupwara FIR Registered
Continuing its drive against drug menace, the Police Station Kupwara today established a routine Naka (checkpoint) at main road Tikker Kupwara. During checking, the Naka party apprehended one individual who was found to be in possession of narcotics.

The accused has been identified as Danish Ahmad Shiekh S/o Mohd Yousf Shiekh R/o Tikker Kupwara and is aged about 22 years.
Upon his search, a substantial amount of Heroine like substance was recovered from his possession. Preliminary enquiry revealed that the accused was engaged in illicit drug trafficking.
In this regard, a case has FIR No. 151/2025 under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kupwara. Investigation into the matter has been taken up to trace the source and wider network, if any, involved in the illegal trade.
