Poor Drainage System in Siddiq Colony, Chakloo Leaves Residents Facing Hardships; Public Appeals for Immediate Action
Baramulla, August 4: Residents of Siddiq Colony in the Chakloo area of Baramulla have expressed serious concern over the poor drainage system in their locality, saying the issue has been causing immense hardship, particularly during rainfall.
According to local residents, inadequate drainage has resulted in waterlogging on roads and around residential areas, creating difficulties for pedestrians and commuters. They said the situation also poses health and sanitation concerns, affecting the daily lives of the people.
The residents have appealed to the District Administration Baramulla to take immediate notice of the issue and ensure timely intervention. They have also urged the concerned Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department to inspect the area and undertake the necessary drainage works at the earliest.
The locals expressed hope that the authorities will address the long-pending issue without further delay to provide much-needed relief to the residents of Siddiq Colony.
