Anantnag Police Conducts Inspection of SIM Vendors to Prevent Misuse

In a continued effort to strengthen internal security and prevent the misuse of mobile communication services, Anantnag Police conducted special inspections of SIM card vendors across the district.
Police teams carried out surprise checks at several locations to ensure strict compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) norms, thorough verification of documents, and to curb the unauthorized activation of SIM cards without valid credentials.
During the inspections, officers interacted with vendors and underscored their responsibility in safeguarding communication networks from being exploited for unlawful or anti-national activities. Vendors were categorically instructed to adhere to all KYC and documentation guidelines issued by the authorities.
The drive is part of ongoing efforts by Anantnag Police to enhance public safety, curb misuse of communication channels, and prevent potential security threats.
