“COVID” is now part of the Scrabble dictionary. “Unmute” also joined the list. This is likely due to the rise of online meetings students and workers had during the COVID-19 pandemic. Muting and unmuting your computer mic was key! Other internet-inspired words, such as “unfollow,” joined the dictionary too.

It has been an emotional, unprecedented time for tennis. Serena Williams, 40, and Roger Federer, 41, have both announced their plans to retire leaving the tennis world without two iconic competitors who were among the best the sport has ever seen!
The sport is losing the two of the greatest players who more than anyone else defined, then redefined, then redefined again and again, what was possible on grass, clay and hardcourt in the 21st century.

What is it about marshmallows? Those soft, fluffy, pillows of delight. Even better when they’re introduced to a flame. If you haven’t sat round a campfire, toasting marshmallows on a stick, have you ever truly lived? The gooey centre of a freshly toasted mallow tastes something like true love to us. And don’t even get us started on s’mores!

There’s much more to marshmallows than meets the eye. For starters, they’re not a modern invention at all. In fact, they’ve been around for over 4,000 years! Nobody is sure when marshmallows were invented, but Ancient Egyptians may have mixed sap and root from the mallow flower, for sore throats.
