Dear friends,

As 15th July approaches, let’s remember the Cuncolim Chieftains’ Uprising of 1583, where our ancestors who bravely fought to defend the Shri Shantadurga Kunkalikarin temple from Portuguese destruction.

Sadly, in recent years, a flower garland is being placed on a Portuguese-era cross built in memory of Francis Ar**ha, the enemy who came to destroy our temple and was killed by our Chieftains.

Garlanding this cross on Chieftains’ Commemoration Day is an insult to our great heroes. Let’s raise awareness and ensure such disrespect is not repeated this year.

Protect history. Honor our heroes. Reject false tributes.

Last weekend, we immersed ourselves in a sea of creativity and knowledge at Digital Democracy Dialogue conference. It was surrounded by many fellow content creators and indeed it was a pleasure to share and have an insightful panel discussion with them on the theme "from Challenges to Change:The Power of social media".

With many other such panel talks, got to explore the latest trends and innovations, challenges and so on. But the real magic happened beyond the conference halls. The organizing team had planned a visit to Saptakoteshwar temple and all of our fellow mates were amazed to see and hear about this Mandir.
Had a brief discussion on Goa's hidden gems - ancient temples, vibrant culture, and breathtaking landscapes.

Sharing the untold stories of Goa's rich heritage was a true privilege.

Thanks to and team for making the visit to Makharutsav possible at last moment. This was another moment of pride to showcase Goa's unique culture.
