Manju Mehta, who was a fine sitar artiste, played a crucial role in popularising Hindustani music in Gujarat through the annual Saptak festival.

Born on May 21, 1945, in Jaipur, Manju belonged to a family of musicians. Her parents were Hindustani vocalists. Both her brothers — Shashi Mohan Bhatt was proficient in and Vishwa Mohan Bhatt in Mohan Veena.
After marrying maestro Pt. Nandan , (disciple of ), Manju shifted base to Ahmedabad, and along with her husband built into a formidable cultural organisation.

The passion for music traverses all limitations!!! Kisan Panchal proved that inspite of losing his eyesight due to childhood meningitis.
Kisan, raised by a single mother got in touch with music, specially the Harmonium when he studied at the from 6th till 12th grade. His inkling to learn more grew while he was doing his BA in History and learnt the Harmonium under Kandarpbhai
Today we, are grateful to for donating a harmonium to Kisan so that he can continue pursuing his love for music🙏
Hopefully this story inspires many people around him and who reads this post to have music in your household in some form
