Creating 'Inner Peace' is a hectic task. But if u r ready to take effort then it's possible. Let me scribble a few steps to the utlimate goal of life for u :
1. Know Urself
Observe urself for atleast 15 minutes everyday. You should lay particular focus on your thoughts which arise in your mind without any external stimuli during that time and observe how you react to such thoughts.
2. Nature of reactions
Try to observe the nature of reactions when u feel angry, jealous, fear etc. Understand what all changes are happening in your body.
3. Focus on changes
When u understand the changes that emotions and thoughts bring to your body rather than focusing on eliminating the thoughts 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆
4. Observe and Relax
Once you learn to observe the changes that happen as a result of thoughts and emotions observe just those changes. Changes happen in your body in a variety of forms. But as your skill associated with observation improves, you will realise the nature of changes to its fundamental level. At its finest stage, changes maifest just as vibrations.
5. Elimination
Elimination of thoughts per se is quite impossible. But if you can eliminate vibrations associated with the thoughts, then the thoughts begin to dissipate and fade away.
Thousands of thoughts and thousands of associated vibrations are taking place in your body every day. Thought, vibration and its cyclical nature is a very complicated phenomenon. You may take a month or two to understand the phenomenon. But the Elimination procedure will take years. U may not achieve 100% even if you devote 10years of your life working around 15 hours a day. But every day passes on, you will find a new you.
A new one - much more peaceful, happy and a less selfish, greedy and an agitated one.
