Lotus is a producer of television and cinema, hosted in Panjim. In the last four years, the main activity of Lotus was the production of the fortnightly series of documentaries “Contacto Goa”. These programs with the duration of half an hour were shown on RTPinternational and RTP Africa, channels with global diffusion of the Public Portuguese Television. RTPinternational (Portuguese international channel) reaches an estimated 24 million Portuguese-speaking people worldwide. The series documents stories dealt with a wide variety of contemporary cultural connections between India and Portugal that continue to exist as a legacy of roughly five centuries of Portuguese presence, or influence, in places like Goa (mainly), Daman, Diu, Kerala, Madras, Calcutta. Lotus film and TV Productions also produces publicity, news, supplies support services of production and rent of equipment.
