11,643 Enumeration Forms Distributed Across Namchi on Day Five of SIR 2026
Namchi, June 3 (IPR): The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, an initiative of the Election Commission of India (ECI) aimed at ensuring a clean, accurate and inclusive electoral roll, continued to make significant headway across Namchi District, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) intensifying their field-level outreach on the fifth day of the Enumeration Forms distribution phase.
Demonstrating the administration’s commitment to reaching every eligible elector, a total of 11,643 Enumeration Forms (EFs) were distributed across the district through systematic door-to-door visits conducted by BLOs. The exercise forms an integral part of the electoral roll revision process and seeks to verify and update voter information to ensure that electoral records remain comprehensive and up to date.
During the course of the visits, BLOs are engaging directly with electors, assisting them in reviewing and updating vital particulars such as names, age, residential address, photographs and Elector Photo Identity Card (EPIC) numbers. The initiative is aimed at facilitating greater accuracy in the electoral database while ensuring that no eligible voter is left out of the democratic process.
As per the prescribed schedule, the house-to-house verification drive will continue until June 28, 2026. During this period, BLOs will undertake the distribution and collection of Enumeration Forms while simultaneously carrying out the verification of elector details at the grassroots level.
The District Election Office, Namchi, has appealed all eligible electors to cooperate with BLOs during their visits and to submit duly completed Enumeration Forms within the stipulated timeframe. Active public participation, the office noted, is essential for the successful completion of the revision exercise and the preparation of a reliable electoral roll.
Adding further strength to the process, recognised political parties are actively participating through their Booth Level Agents (BLAs), who are supporting the exercise at the field level. Their involvement contributes to greater transparency, accountability and stakeholder engagement, reinforcing public trust in the electoral roll revision process.
