We will support films across all genres and across all budgets. We will also lend special focus to “independent films”. By independent films we mean ‘out of the box’ stories that may not have a universal audience, but has a large and profitable audience all the same. We believe that the “right budget’ makes or breaks a films. We will also invest in what we term as ‘Sweepstakes’ – large commercial pot boilers that guarantee an assured opening and profit on the table. Besides this we are keen on “romcoms”, thrillers, horror, family dramas, coming to age films, adapted classics etc etc
We are not driven by ambitions to fund and produce large multi star and Big budget films. We are keen to do the business of Cinema and do this with partnering with good talent. We will be favoring medium budget films with a special focus on great scripts. We have entered into the Film business with our eyes open understanding the nature of this industry and the risk and sensibility involved to sustain and run a Film Production house. Besides directly producing films, our aim is to also be a platform and window for Film talent (directors/ writers/ technicians etc) wherein we would have on going seminars and workshops conducted by international Film talent. Extending our core expertise of Finance, we will also provide finance for purchase of equipments. Film Restoration is another area of interest and we are presently structuring a business around it. Divine Thought Production Motion Pictures deals with established film production houses as well as with some of the most creative directors providing them with trouble free production, marketing and distribution support.
