Teachers’ Day Celebration at Niharabala English Medium School & Blood Donation Camp at Bastia ITI .

Today, Teachers’ Day was celebrated at Niharabala English Medium School, located at Sector-6 Bastia Bhawan, under the banner of Lions Club of Rourkela Chhend.

Among the dignitaries present were Chairman Er. Hemanta Kumar Mishra, Managing Trustee Gautam Mishra, School Secretary and President of Lions Club Chhend Nibedita Mishra, and School Chairman Ahuti Pradhan, who addressed the gathering and shared their views on the importance of the day.

Members of the Lions Club Chhend including Nibedita Mishra, Sultata Pati, Sanjukta Patra, P.C. Nayak, Saroj Patra, Suryamani Patra, Indramani Nayak, Prafulla Patra, P.K. Sahu, and R.K. Samal were also present. The program was successfully organized with the active cooperation of all teachers of the school.

Meanwhile, responding to the appeal of Raghunathpali MLA Durga Charan Tanti, a blood donation camp dedicated to the soldiers of Operation Sindoor was organized today at Bastia ITI. Students came forward enthusiastically to donate blood and contribute to the noble cause.

Prophet Muhammad’s Birth Anniversary Celebrated with Grandeur

Rajgangpur town witnessed grand celebrations on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad. A grand procession was taken out from the local Jama Masjid, which passed through various parts of Rajgangpur town. Later, a gathering was organized at the local football ground where discussions were held on the life and ideals of Prophet Muhammad.

In the Dolaki forest of Sarasara section under Bonai Forest Range, Sundergarh district a calf has reportedly died in a tiger attack. However, it is not yet clear whether the calf was killed by a Royal Bengal Tiger or a leopard.

The Forest Department has increased patrolling in the area. Trap cameras are being checked to confirm the presence and movement of the tiger.

In Rourkela city’s Champagada under Bondamunda police station, tension prevailed this morning after the body of a 6 Year-old child was found from a safety tank.
Alleging that the child had been murdered and accusing the police of delayed action, local residents blocked the main road at Bondhmunda.

Due to the blockade, traffic was disrupted for some time. The locals demanded a proper investigation into the incident and immediate arrest of the culprits.

Later, senior police officials reached the spot and assured the people that appropriate action would be taken. Following this assurance, the road blockade was withdrawn and the situation returned to normal.

Renowned Music Director Abhijit Majumdar in Critical Condition at AIIMS Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Eminent music director and singer Abhijit Majumdar has been admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar in a critical condition.

According to the health bulletin released by AIIMS, Majumdar has slipped into a coma and is currently on ventilator support in the Central ICU of the General Medicine department. Doctors have stated that he is not responding well to treatment.

When shifted to AIIMS at 10 AM today, Majumdar was found to be suffering from hypertension, hyperthyroidism, and liver disease. He has also been diagnosed with pneumonia and severe lung infections, further complicating his condition.

Earlier, on August 31, Majumdar was admitted to a private hospital in Cuttack following health complications. As his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for advanced treatment.
