Two Bikers Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident in Rajgangpur
Rajgangpur, September 9:(SatyaNewsAlert ) Two motorcycle riders were killed after an unidentified vehicle reportedly hit their bike near L.V. Prasad Eye Hospital on State Highway No. 10 under Rajgangpur Police Station limits on Wednesday afternoon. Deceased identified as Nrushinga Charan Das and Jivan Valabh Khanduala .
According to preliminary information, the unidentified vehicle collided with the motorcycle and fled the spot immediately after the accident. The two bike riders sustained critical injuries and succumbed to their injuries.
Rajgangpur Police reached the accident site and launched an investigation. Efforts are underway to identify the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run accident and trace the driver.

Retired Teacher Killed in Road Accident Near Mahabir Chowk Under Badgaon Police Limits .
Sundargarh, September 9:(SatyaNewsAlert ) A 65-year-old retired school teacher was killed and two others were injured in a tragic road accident near Mahabir Chowk under Bargaon police station limits in Sundargarh district on Wednesday.
According to reports, the accident occurred when a speeding pickup vehicle rammed into an Alto car from behind. Three persons were travelling in the car from Sundargarh towards Kureibaga village when the accident took place near Mahabir Chowk.
The deceased has been identified as Santosh Kumar Pruseth (65), a retired school teacher and resident of Kureibaga. He reportedly died on the spot due to the impact of the collision.
Two others travelling in the car—Kuber Chandra Pruseth (55) of Kulabira village under Lefripara block and Romanz Sahu of Barb village—sustained injuries in the accident.
Sources said Santosh was returning to Kureibaga along with his two sons-in-law, who were accompanying him to the village in connection with the ongoing Demul Puja celebrations. However, tragedy struck before they could reach their destination.
The accident triggered panic in the area and cast a pall of gloom over Kureibaga village. On receiving information, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the accident.

10-Kg Indane LPG Cylinder Launched in Rourkela
Rourkela, September 9: (SatyaNewsAlert) Keeping consumer convenience in mind, Indian Oil Corporation has been introducing various initiatives from time to time. As part of this effort, Indane has now introduced a new 10-kg LPG cylinder in the market.
Until now, the standard 14.2-kg LPG cylinder has been widely available. The newly introduced 10-kg cylinder, however, weighs only around 5 to 6 kg when empty, making it comparatively easier for homemakers to handle and use, according to the company.
The company has also simplified the process of obtaining a connection. Consumers reportedly need to provide only a valid identity document to obtain the new cylinder connection.
The 10-kg cylinder was launched at various locations across the country in July, while its sale was introduced in Bhubaneswar last month. On Wednesday, the new cylinder was officially launched in Rourkela.
The company’s Odisha head said that the 10-kg Indane LPG cylinder will gradually be made available in other cities across the state in the coming days.

Another Serious Accident on Rourkela Ring Road; Biker Critically Injured in Truck Collision .
Rourkela, September 9: (SatyaNewsAlert) Road accidents on Rourkela’s Ring Road show no signs of slowing down. Just days after a fatal car-bike collision near Plutone Mall claimed a man’s life on September 3, another serious accident was reported on the same road this morning.
The latest incident took place near DAV Square, where a truck allegedly collided with a motorcycle, leaving the biker critically injured.
The injured motorcyclist was immediately rushed to JP Hospital in Rourkela for treatment. His condition is reported to be serious.
The repeated accidents along the Ring Road have once again raised concerns over road safety and the need for effective measures to prevent further loss of life.

Major Theft at BSL Employee’s House on Rayaboga Road
Gold, Silver Ornaments and Cash Stolen
Biramitrapur, September 9: (SatyaNewsAlert) A major theft was reported at the residence of a BSL employee on Rayaboga Road after the family returned home from a five-day trip to Kolkata on Wednesday morning.
On opening the house, the family members found five almirahs broken open, with belongings scattered across the rooms. Upon checking, they discovered that gold and silver ornaments, cash and other valuables kept inside the house had been stolen.
On being informed, Biramitrapur Police reached the spot and launched an investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that the burglars may have conducted a prior recce of the house before carrying out the theft.
According to the initial investigation, the intruders did not enter through the front of the house. They allegedly gained entry through a ventilator at the rear, and subsequently broke open the back door to carry out the theft.
Police have intensified the investigation and launched efforts to identify and apprehend those involved. The exact value of the stolen property is yet to be ascertained.
The identity of the persons behind the alleged planned burglary will become clear as the police investigation progresses.
