At the Young Uttarakhand Cine Awards 2024 (YUCA 2024), we had the honor of presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award to Late Shri Ghananand Ji, one of Uttarakhand’s most iconic comedians and cultural gems.

🌿 What is Nyoli?
"Nyoli" is a Kumaoni word meaning "forest song" — inspired by the melodic whispers of nature in the hills of Uttarakhand. Traditionally sung on two scales, Nyoli captures the heart of Kumaoni folk culture and the deep emotional connect of the pahadi people with their surroundings.

Kumaon, a cultural division of the Uttarakhand Himalayas, is known for its stunning natural beauty, rich traditions, and vibrant folk music like Nyoli. This performance celebrates the soul of the hills and honors generations of folk storytelling through music.
