March 31: In a significant move to ease administrative challenges faced by residents of Persin Block, Tamish Mugli, APCS, Assistant Commissioner Raga, has been appointed as the Member Secretary of the 2-Persin Zilla Constituency. The decision aims to address the long-standing communication bottleneck with the SDO office at Dollungmukh.

The development follows a formal representation submitted by Biku Join, ZPM 2 Persin Zilla Constituency who highlighted the difficulties faced by local residents and panchayat representatives. Due to administrative constraints, people were compelled to travel over 300 kilometers, crossing multiple districts—Lower Subansiri, Keyi Panyor, Papum Pare, and even North Lakhimpur in Assam—for routine official work. In contrast, Raga is located just 20 minutes away from Persin, making it a more practical administrative center.

Welcoming the decision, Biku Join expressed his sincere gratitude to Er. Rotom Tebin, Honourable MLA Raga, J.T. Obi, DC Kamle , and Padi Tapa, DPDO kamle for their prompt response and proactive intervention. He stated that the move would greatly benefit the people of Persin by ensuring easier and faster access to essential administrative services.
