MEHDIPATNAM POLICE ARRESTED GOLD CHAIN SNATCHER OFFENDER AND RECOVERED GOLD CHAIN Wg.14 GRAMSFROM POSESSION OF ACCUSED,
Arrested the accused Mohd Najeeb 5/o Mebd. Jeelani, age: 35 Yrs. Dec: Lah Technician, R/o H.No: 13-1-1234/22/8, Sarwar Nagar, Asif Nagar, Jirrah, Hyderabad In Cr.No. 164/2025 U/Sec. 304 (2) BNS& 307 BNSPS Mehdipatnam, Hyd and being sent to the Judicial remand.
RECOVERED: 14 GRAMS GOLD CHAIN.
The sleuths of crime staff of Mehdipatnam Police Station apprebended the Chain Snatcher on 03.06.2025 at 10.30 hrs and recovered gold chain wy, about 15 grams from his possession while he was trying to sell them at Mallepally X roads, Hyd.
The brief facts of the case are that un 01.06.2025 at 11:00 Hours received a complaint from Smt. G. Chandrakala, W/o G. Sayanna (late), Age: 65 years, ins, Occ Housewife, R/o H. No. 39/2RT. Vijay Nagar Colony, Hyderabad Ph. Not 8143737915, in which she stated that on 01.06.2025 early morning she went to buy milk packets at a Kirana shop nearby her residence and while returning to her home when she was at opposite to H.No: 7/2RT, VN colony at about 07:20 hours one unknown person who was wearing a helmet came from backside and asked her in Telugu Vijay Nagar colony idena?" and then suddenly he tried to sn**ch her gold chain which is about 2 tulas (20 grams) from her necic. While she was struggling to save her gold chain from his clutches, she caught her gold chain tightly with her both hands. Meanwhile he pushed her down but she did not let go her hands on her gold chain. Then he forcefully pulled it, upon which her goid chain broken into two pieces. One piece about 6 grams was in her hand and the remaining about 14 grams gold chain was forcefully sn**ched by him and he fled away from there. Hence, she requested to take necessary legal action as per law and do needful.

Commissioner of Police, Asifnagar Division and Sri S.Mallesh, SHOMehdipatnam.P.S. under the leadership of Sri.G. Bala Krishna, Detective Inspector of Police, Ahmed Pasha DSI, K Srinivas Reddy, SI,Ram Manohar PSI and Crime stall on the tip of information about the presence of accused person who was trying to sell the Gold chain at Mallepally X roads, оп 03-06-2025 at 0900 hrs crime staff has apprehended the offenderMohd. Najeeb. On Interrogation, the accused Mohd. Najeebconfessed (01) offence as he was addicted to online betting and habituated to consuming G***a and to lead lavish life, but unable to meet his expenses for enjoying his lavish expenses, dur to which he planned to commit sn**ching gold chain from the walkers
