Public Garden Destroy with Government Program: Activist expresses concern

HYDERABAD: Telangana government has expressed concern that the Telangana government has held a public garden and Nampally in front of the Jubilee Hall.

This is a serious condemnation of such wide range of programs in this historic garden, which gives "society, elderly women, childrens, tourists and a false message to visitors every day".

He urged the state government to move the future "official programs to large houses such as LB Stadium or Parade Ground". Also, "event contractors demanded that the event contractors immediately remove tents and equipment, repair and restore damaged lawn".

He highlighted that the public garden's care was important not only to the people of Telangana but also the welfare of the legislators.

حیدرآباد: تلنگانہ حکومت کی جانب س "جوبلی ہال" کے بالمقابل مرکزی لان میں منعقدہ **تلنگانہ لبریشن ڈے تقاریب" کے بعد "پبلک گارڈن، نمپلی" کو پہنچ والے ماحولیاتی نقصان پر تشویش کا اظہار کیا گیا ہے۔
ماحولیاتی اور سماجی کارکن " محمد عابد علی" نے تاریخی باغ میں اس نوعیت کی بڑی تقاریب کے انعقاد کی سخت مذمت کی ہے اور کہا ہے کہ یہ عمل برادریوں، معمر شہریوں، خواتین، بچوں، سیاحوں اور یومیہ آنے والے زائرین کے لیے ایک “غلط پیغام” دیتا ہے۔

انہوں نے ریاستی حکومت پر زور دیا کہ آئندہ سرکاری تقاریب کو " ایل بی اسٹیڈیم یا پریڈ گراؤنڈ" جیسے مقامات پر منتقل کیا جائے جو بڑی تقاریب کے انعقاد کے لیے زیادہ موزوں ہیں۔ محمد عابد علی نے یہ بھی مطالبہ کیا کہ حکام تقریب کے ٹھیکیداروں کو ہدایت دیں کہ وہ فوری طور پر خیمے، سامان ہٹا کر لان کی مرمت کریں اور باغ کو اس کی اصل حالت میں بحال کریں۔ انہوں نے زور دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ پبلک گارڈن کا تحفظ تلنگانہ کے عوام اور عوامی نمائندوں دونوں کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے نہایت ضروری ہے۔.

Final rites with State honours for Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy

*Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy were among those who condoled the demise of CPI veteran Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, who passed away here.

*The departed leader's body would be kept at the Maqdoom Bhavan from 10 AM to 3 PM on August 24

*Sudhakar Reddy (83), a former MP, breathed his last on Friday night due to old age-related ailments while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here.

*Venkaiah Naidu, Revanth Reddy and other leaders would pay tributes to the departed leader on August 24, it said.

Mass pledge to prevent drugs - "Dhadi Mukt Bharat Abhiyan" on the 5th anniversary of the district SP Mrs. D. Janaki, IPS.

Mahabubnagar, 13 August 2025:
During the 5th anniversary of the "Dhadi Mukt Bharat Abhiyan", mass pledges were held to eradicate drug use across the district. As part of this special drive, District SP Mrs. D. Mahatma Jyotirao Poole, under the Mahabubnagar Rural Police Station, Janaki and IPS, have pledged drug opposite students and staff at BC Welfare Residential School, Dharmapur.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP said that it was everyone's responsibility to keep the youth away from drugs and called for the family, educational institutions and the police department to work together to protect from the threat of society.

Half day Holidays GHMC limits, full holiday in five districts on August 13 and 14

Hyderabad, August 12, 2025 —

The Director of School Education, Telangana, Dr. E. Naveen Nicolas, IAS, has announced half-day holidays for all government and private schools in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area on August 13 and 14, 2025.

The decision follows a meteorological forecast predicting very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places within the GHMC region on both days.

As per the official order, schools in the GHMC area will operate only during the morning shift on these dates to ensure the safety of students and staff amid adverse weather conditions.

In honor of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Chief Minister Shri A. Revant Reddy honored Colonel Joy Dasgupta, a Kargil warmer of 18 grenadiers.
