*Doda Police takes out Magnificent Tiranga Rally amid patriotic fervour*

August 10, 2025.

In a spirited celebration of national pride, Doda Police today organized a grand Tiranga Rally under the nationwide campaign “Har Ghar Tiranga.” The rally saw enthusiastic participation from various forces, including the Distrct Police Doda, Armed Police, CRPF, SSB, CISF, Forest Protection Force, Home Guards, NCC cadets, and students from Police Public School, Doda.

The event, held under the esteemed guidance of *SSP Doda, Sh. Sandeep Mehta-JKPS* , the rally followed a vibrant route, starting from Sport Stadium Doda via Dessa Road (Ganta Ghar) via Bharath road and culminating back at the Police Station Doda. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of the civil society, the media fraternity, and police personnel across all ranks.

The Tiranga Rally not only paid tribute to the national flag but also served as a powerful symbol of collective unity, echoing the spirit of the Independence Day celebrations and strengthening the bond of patriotism among the people of Doda.

*J&K Police carried out Searches at the Houses Of Pakistan-Based Terrorists In Doda*

Searches were carried out at the houses of Pakistan-based terrorists across fifteen locations in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district as part of a massive clampdown on the terror ecosystem in the region, officials said on Friday.
“The searches in the Doda district were conducted in the houses of terrorists currently in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, who are carrying out their activities here from across the border,” a senior police officer said.

The police teams have been conducting searches at the premises since Thursday evening.

The searches are aimed at intensifying the police crackdown on terrorism following activities in the district from across the border. These 15 locations are spread out in the Bhaderwah, Gandoh, Thathri and Kastigarh areas of District Doda. All these JK Nationals from the district operating from Pakistan (JKNOPs) and are helping the existing foreign terrorists active here in providing them logistics and other support through their contacts here.

“The searches will remain continued and Further details will be shared after the operation concludes,” Senior Superintendent of Police Doda, Sandeep Mehta, who is monitoring the search operation, said.

*DODA POLICE TRACED OUT MISSING GIRL AND RE-UNITED WITH HER FAMILY*

August, 02-2025.

A missing report of a girl namely Afrooza Kouser D/O Fareed Hussain R/O Kilhotran Tehsil Gandoh District Doda was entered at PS Gandoh on 27-07-2025 and now she has been traced and re-united with her family.

Official sources while giving details has said that Afrooza Kouser D/O Fareed Hussain R/O Kilhotran Tehsil Gandoh District Doda was entered at PS Gandoh had gone missing and her missing report was entered at Police Station Gandoh on 27-07-2025.

Soon after registration of the missing report, search of the said girl was started. On the directions of SSP Doda, a team was constituted from PS Gandoh led by SHO PS Gandoh under the supervision of SDPO Gandoh in search of missing lady. The Police team by using all possible means as well as technical help, today on 02.08.2025 succeeded in tracing out her. Accordingly, after completing all codal formalities, the girl has been handed over to her family and missing report has been closed.

*02 BOVINE SMUGGLING BIDs FOILED BY DODA POLICE, 11 BOVINES RESCUED, ACCUSED ARRESTED.*

Doda, August 2, 2025.

Continuing its efforts against bovine smuggling, Doda Police has rescued 11 bovine from the clutches of smugglers in Nalthi and Bhalla area falling under the jurisdiction of PS Bhaderwah.

Official sources has said that on 01-08-2025 during early hours in the morning during Naka checking at Nalthi Naka, three individuals were found transporting/carrying eight Bovine animals towards Bhaderwah on foot. They were doing so without arranging fodder and water for them and they were ruthlessly beating these bovines. The police party deployed at Naka became suspicious and apprehended one individual, namely Asif Ali, S/O Mohd Shafi, resident of Botla Bhaderwah. The other two individuals Raj Mohd, S/O Mohd Shareef, and Mohd Rafiq, S/O Roshan Din, both resident of Thanalla Bhaderwah fled the scene upon seeing the police party. The police party managed to rescue the bovines. The apprehended individual during questioning failed to produce any lawful authorization for transporting the bovines.

Today on 02-8-2025, during naka checking at Bhalla, Police party intercepted a vehicle bearing Registration No. JK06-5478 and stopped for checking. During checking, 03 bovine animals were found tide with rope without arrangement of food and water. Accused driver disclosed his name fareed Ahmed S/O Liyakat Ali R/O Cheka Driana Tehsil Bhalla District Doda and he failed to produced any vauled document regarding transportation of these bovine. Accordingly , cognizance has taken and FIR No. 110/2025 and FIR No 111/2025 U/S 223 BNS and 11 PC Act has been registered at PS Bhaderwah and investigation of both the case has been started.

The act of Police reflects the efforts to maintain law and order in the region. By taking such actions, the police aim to ensure public safety and prevent potential of law and order in the District. The sources said. Police in Doda has warned all such persons to desist from such activities , else stringent action as warranted under law shall be taken against them.

*Doda Police Solves Theft Case Within 24 Hours; Two Accused Arrested, Stolen Property Recovered*

Doda, 02 August 2025:

In a swift and efficient response, Doda Police cracked a theft case within 24 hours of its reporting, demonstrating their commitment to prompt justice and community safety.

On 01 August 2025, Farooq Ahmed Naik, son of Javed Iqbal and resident of Parmaz Road, Doda, reported that unknown individuals had broken into his rental home by damaging window panes and committed theft. Acting on the complaint, Police Station Doda registered a case under FIR No. 182/2025, U/S 331(4), 305 BNS.

Under the directions of *SSP Doda Sh. Sandeep Mehta-JKPS*, a Team was formed to crack this case. The team was led by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday (SHO, PS Doda) and PSI Meenaksh. Using CCTV footage and technical surveillance, the police identified and arrested two accused individuals:

1. Najeeb Iqbal, son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of Pull Doda (Age: 33 years)
2. Anant Raj, son of Girdhari Lal, resident of Bhatta Parryote Doda (Age: 30 years)

Following their interrogation, the police recovered three Indane gas cylinders, and a formal recovery-cum-seizure was carried out in connection with the case. The investigation is still underway, and further developments are anticipated.

*Doda Police Cracks Theft Case, Recovers Stolen Spare Parts Worth Lakhs*

Doda, July 29, 2025

In a major success, Doda Police have cracked a theft case and recovered spare parts worth lakhs of rupees, stolen from a local workshop earlier this year.

The case was registered under FIR No. 136/2025 at Police Station Doda on May 3, 2025, under Sections 331(5) and 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), following a complaint lodged by Bilal Hussain, a resident of Bun Doda. The complaint pertained to the theft of spare parts from his workshop located at Samleen Morh during the intervening night of April 30, 2025.

Acting on the directions of *SSP Doda, Shri Sandeep Mehta-JKPS*, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed at PS Doda. The team was led by SHO Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, under the close supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda, Shri Ajay Anand.

During the investigation, the police apprehended the primary accused, Sameer Ahmed, a resident of Akramabad, and recovered a substantial portion of the stolen items from his possession. Upon further interrogation, Sameer Ahmed disclosed the involvement of his associate, Mudassir Ahmed from Beswaal, who was subsequently arrested on July 28, 2025. Additional stolen spare parts were recovered based on his statement.

All the recovered items have been positively identified by the complainant.

Doda Police reaffirm their commitment to protecting public and private property and ensuring justice through prompt and effective action.

Doda Police has traced a missing girl and later handed over to her family whose missing reports were lodged at Police Station Gandoh.

On 04.07.2025 a missing report of girl namely Rajni Devi D/o Bal Krishan R/o Kunan Tehsil Gandoh District Doda of PS Gandoh.

Soon after getting the information regarding missing of the girl, Police swung into action and on the directions of SSP Doda a team was constituted from PS Gandoh led by SHO PS Gandoh under the supervision of SDPO Gandoh in search of the missing girl. The Police teams by using all possible means as well as technical help and after getting some clues, succeeded in tracing them out on 26.07.2025. Accordingly, after completing all codal formalities, the girl have been handed over to her family and missing report have been closed.

July, 26, 2025.

On July 25, 2025, a written complaint was lodged by Touqeer Bhagwan S/O Abdul Gaffar Bhagwan at Police Station Bhaderwah wherein he stated that 03 electric motors and a good number of sacs of dried lavender flower husk has been stolen by some unknown thieves from his Factory located in Jai Valley Road Bhaderwah.

On this complaint, a case FIR No.105/2025 under Sections 331(4) and 305 of the BNS was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah, and an investigation was initiated.

On the directions of SSP Doda Sh Sandeep Mehta JKPS a team was constituted from PS Bhaderwah led by SHO PS Bhaderwah under the supervision of ASP and SDPO Bhaderwah to investigate the case and recover the stolen property.

During the course of the investigation, police rounded up several suspects including one Ram Raj S/O Phool Singh R/O Chill Tehsil- Assar District Doda A/P Tipri Bhaderwah based on reliable sources. Upon sustained interrogation, the above named accused person disclosed his involvement in the commission of crime. On the confession of the accused, police recovered the 03 electric motors and 8 sacks of lavender flower approx. 75 kgs from a location near Dandi area. The accused has been arrested in the instant case and his interrogation is on to ascertain the involvement of other accused. Further investigation is underway.

During the program Women Staff of WPS Doda and PS Doda interacted with all the girl students of the school.

The team sensitized the participants about their legal rights, police procedures, provisions of the new criminal laws, and issues related to cyber crimes.

*Doda Police Organizes Medical Camp and Debate on Nasha Mukt Bharat under CAP 2024-25 at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Bhagwah*

In line with the ongoing efforts to promote a drug-free society and ensure community well-being, Doda Police organized a Medical Camp and a Debate Competition on the theme “Nasha Mukt Bharat” at Government Higher Secondary School, Bhagwah, under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2024–25.

The initiative was conducted under the guidance of SSP Doda, and was supervised and coordinated by DySP Headquarters Doda, Sh. Ajay Anand. The event witnessed active participation from a large number of students, teachers, and local residents. During the event: A free medical camp was set up, providing health check-ups and consultations by qualified medical staff. A debate competition was held to spread awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse and to promote the message of a Nasha Mukt (drug-free) society. Students expressed their views passionately, highlighting the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of youth-led awareness.

Speaking on the occasion, DySP Hqrs Doda Sh. Ajay Anand emphasized the role of youth in nation-building and the need to stay away from drugs. He also encouraged students to act as ambassadors of change in their communities.

The event concluded with the distribution of appreciation certificates to participants and a vote of thanks by the school administration, who lauded Doda Police for their proactive community outreach and youth engagement.

*Doda Police Traces Missing Lady from Gangyal, Jammu, and Reunites her with family*

On 14/07/2025, a missing person complaint was lodged at Police Post Pul Doda by Smt. Pinky Devi W/O Sh. Pritam Lal, resident of Bhatta Paryote, Tehsil & District Doda, stating that her daughter, Priya Devi (Age: 21 years), had gone missing from home on the same day. Despite efforts by the family to trace her, they were unable to find any leads.

Acting on the complaint, a missing report was registered in the daily diary of Police Post Pul Doda under DDR No. 14 dated 14/07/2025, and a dedicated search operation was launched.

Under the guidance of SSP Doda, a special team was constituted, led by IC Police Post Pul Doda, and operating under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda and SHO PS Doda, with the support of the ESU Doda and reliable human intelligence.

As a result of persistent efforts, the missing girl was successfully traced on 22/07/2025 from the Gangyal area of Jammu. After completing all legal formalities, including the recording of her statement, she was safely handed over to her legal heirs.

The missing report has since been officially closed as "Traced" under DDR No. 13 dated 22/07/2025 at Police Post Pul Doda.

This timely and sensitive action highlights the dedication and efficiency of Doda Police in addressing cases of public concern and reaffirming their commitment to citizen safety and swift response.
