District Reasi Marks Second Day of ‘Vande Mataram’ 150th Anniversary Celebrations at Bhimgarh Fort

Reasi, November 8: The District Administration Reasi, in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police, today celebrated the 150th anniversary of India’s National Song “Vande Mataram” with great patriotic zeal and enthusiasm at the historic Bhim Garh Fort.

The event witnessed the participation of senior officers including SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh, ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, ADC Rakesh Kumar, CPO Narinder Kumar, Addl. SP Iqtqar Ahmed, Tehsildar Reasi, EO MC Reasi, and other district officers.

The celebration commenced with a soulful rendition of Vande Mataram and the National Anthem by the District Police Piping Brass Band, filling the air with a sense of national pride. The grandeur of Bhim Garh Fort, illuminated with tricolour hues, amplified the spirit of the occasion as officers, students, and local citizens participated in large numbers.

Speaking on the occasion, officers highlighted the historical and cultural significance of Vande Mataram, penned by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1875, which continues to inspire generations with its message of unity, sacrifice, and devotion to the motherland.

The celebration at Bhim Garh Fort stood as a tribute to India’s glorious heritage and reaffirmed the collective commitment of the people of Reasi to uphold the ideals of patriotism and national integrity.

DC Reasi Inaugurates Three New Crèche Centres (PALNA) under Poshan Project

Reasi, November 08: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik (IAS), inaugurated three new crèche centres (PALNA) under the Poshan Project Reasi at Purana Dak Bunglow, Gadwal, and Saraswati Nagar today.Other officers including DPO Reasi (Poshan) Sudershan Kumar,CDPO Suninderjeet Kour, and local residents were also present during the inauguration.

This initiative marks a significant step towards ensuring the care, protection, and safety of children aged 6 months to 6 years, particularly those belonging to working mothers. The crèches will operate from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing dedicated daycare services during working hours.

Launched under the aegis of Ministry of women and child development,the initiative aims to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of working mothers — ensuring their holistic development through proper nutrition, early childhood care, and education.

Speaking on the occasion,DC Nidhi Malik highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening childcare and women’s welfare infrastructure at the grassroots level. She emphasized that the PALNA Centres will not only address the developmental needs of children but also empower working women by providing reliable and quality daycare facilities.

The DC also interacted with Anganwadi workers and local beneficiaries, inspecting the facilities and directing the concerned officers to ensure proper upkeep, hygiene, and quality nutrition under the Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP).

जम्मू-कश्मीर के सांबा जिले में पटवारी एसीबी के हत्थे चढ़ा, 35 लाख रुपये नकद बरामद

जम्मू-कश्मीर के सांबा जिले में एंटी करप्शन ब्यूरो (ACB) ने एक पटवारी को ट्रैप कर गिरफ्तार किया है। कार्रवाई के दौरान 35 लाख रुपये नकद बरामद किए गए।
सूत्रों के मुताबिक, एसीबी को शिकायत मिली थी कि पटवारी ने रिश्वत के रूप में भारी रकम ली है। इसके बाद टीम ने छापा मारकर उसे गिरफ्तार किया।
आरोपी पटवारी के पास से 35 लाख रुपये बरामद।
एसीबी ने ट्रैप ऑपरेशन के तहत की कार्रवाई।
जांच जारी है, रकम के स्रोत का पता लगाया जा रहा है।
यह कार्रवाई प्रदेश में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ एसीबी की बड़ी सफलता मानी जा रही है।

LG Manoj Sinha Pays Obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine

Katra, Nov 6 Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, on Thursday visited the holy shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and offered prayers.

SAMBA POLICE ATTACHES PROPERTY WORTH RUPEES 53.66 LACS OF NOTORIOUS DRUG PEDDLER

Samba: November 06, 2025: As a part of its relentless effort against drug peddlers/smugglers, Samba Police has attached a single storey residential house and a cattle shed valuing approximately 53.66 lacs belonging to notorious drug peddler namely Mohd. Baru S/o Mohd. Yousaf R/o Laswara tehsil Bishnah district Jammu presently residing at Balole Khad, Bari Brahmana district Samba.

The action was taken by Police under sections 68-E read with 68-F of NDPS Act of 1985 and is linked with case FIR No.52/2024 u/s 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act of PS Bari Brahmana.

The residential house and cattle shed were identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/inquiry conducted by police. The property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances by the drug peddler.

Moreover, an amount of Rs.16,58,660.00 was also recovered and seized from the said accused in case FIR No. 52/2024 u/s 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act of PS Bari Brahmana.

The total value of property identified as illegally acquired stands at Rs. 53.66 lakh and recovery of cash of Rs. 16,58,660.00 making a total of Rs. 70 lacs approximately.

The said accused is a notorious drug peddler actively involved in smuggling and supplying of narcotics and involved in 12 criminal cases registered against him at Police Stations Bari Brahmana & Ghagwal of district Samba and PS Bishnah of district Jammu including 03 NDPS cases presently under trial.

This operation reaffirms the commitment of Samba Police to combat the drug menace. Local people of the area hailed this unprecedented initiative of Samba Police against drug dealers.

The whole operation was carried out by the police team headed by SHO PS Bari Brahmana under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba.
