Why is the Indian market not bothered about product ethics anymore?
In a country brimming with talent, craft, and culture, why are we still okay with:
- Workers being underpaid?
- Unsafe factories producing premium goods?
Because ethics is not incentivized.Because price still trumps process.Because scale is applauded, but sustainability gets a footnote.
We celebrate brand stories, but forget the real story — the hands behind the product, the cost behind the cost.
In a market driven by affordability and aspirational consumption, ethics feels like a luxury. But it shouldn't be.
What if ethical manufacturing was the norm — not the exception? What if Indian brands led with transparency — not just storytelling?
Here’s the bigger picture:The Western world may have pioneered the Industrial Revolution — but in the rush for more, they may have also forgotten why it mattered.
Now, the baton can pass.India doesn’t have to follow that path — it can build a better one.
Come on, young entrepreneurs of India — lead a new kind of revolution.
Not about “more.”But about better.
Come on — I know you can do better than just a “10-second delivery.”
