************* CYBER CRIME FRAUD ALERT ************
Hi All, please take two minutes to read this and be aware of such incidents. This can happen to one of you at any time as these incidents are increasing in India.
• Today, I have received a call from a number (8127425121), stating that he calling me from TRAI(Telecom Regulatory Authority of India).
• He told that I have two numbers on my Aadhar ID and he told the other number as 9892076759(which doesn't belong to me)
• He told that TRAI is going to block all my numbers in next two hours, as there are many complaints(Harrassment texts and Illegal Advertisements) on the other number.
• He gave me the details like FIR number(MH1045/0124), the location from where my Aadhar card has been taken as ID proof for the other number, etc.
• I was asked to travel to Mumbai or connect with Mumbai Police to give an explanation regarding the complaints registered on the other number.
• The call was forwarded to some other person and he asked me to install SKYPE application and I did install it too.
• He gave me the SKYPE ID as Mumbaipolice211
And again I got the call another Skype ID called PC and another person he was there with police uniform and he told me this is investigation call so go outside that no one is there around and sit and talk to me, and he asked me about me and my details and I told him and he said you get call back and you can continue with that call.
And again when I got the call with the same ID Mumbaipolice211 and oposite I'm not able to see anyone he ask me to open my video and when I turned on my video oposite he his video is not visible and I asked him to open their videos too, But he said I'm doing you investigation so you are not allowed to see me, But I can see you and make the file after all the questions and we will send it to the court.
And he asked me to show me my aadhar card then I got the doubt about it. I said wait I'm talking with my lawyer and I try to connect with my lawyer and trying to call some friends from Airtel company to find out the number is on my name or not? We started searching the numbers and information given and found that other people have experienced this exact situation. Between this time we found from LinkedIn that this is a fake call because some other person also got like this then I stop to answer him.
We also find out the number in online about the talik nagar police station in Mumbai and we called them. They told us it was fake and police will never use Skype. The scammers tried to get me to come to Mumbai in 2 hours time, the real police told me to ignore these people and don't give any money.
So be careful. Please pass on this info and don't share any personal details or your other sensitive information.
Please check for any mobile numbers registered on your name. This is an official website from GOI, Telecommunications Department.

Microsoft can you please block such fraud account email: mumbaipolice211 and make sure to enhance the protection for common people?
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India(TRAI) please protect common people from such fraud calls and please bring in some ID verification for every number that’s being sold out, so that we need not be dependent on Truecaller or other apps.
