The state-wide plastic ban in Maharashtra, including carry-bags and thermocol by the Devendra Fadanvis government, will result in loss of up to Rs 15,000 crore and nearly 3 lakh job, says the plastic manufacturing industry.

"The ban imposed by Maharashtra from Saturday has hit the industry very hard and the plastic industry is staring at a loss of Rs 15,000 crore, leaving nearly 3 lakh people jobless overnight," Plastic Bags Manufacturers Association of India general secretary Neemit Punamiya told news agency PTI today.

Foreign delegates visit IIIDEM Campus

The India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) organized a special visit for foreign delegates from Election Management Bodies and International Organizations at its upcoming state-of-the-art campus in Dwarka, Delhi. Participating Dignitaries from Australia, Bhutan, Guinea, Moldova, Zambia and representatives from International IDEA and IFES visited the campus and learnt about the various facilities provided by IIIDEM

Deputy Election Commissioner Mr. Sudeep Jain gave an overview of the new IIIDEM campus to the delegates. Highlighting the features and facilities, Mr. Jain said that the Institutional Block of the campushas a capacity to hold trainings for 1,000 people in 12 batches simultaneously. The campus has an AuditoriumBlock with a capacity of 450 persons and also comprises of a Hostel Block with an accommodation of100 rooms.Mr. Jain also shared the vision, mission, and various activities of IIIDEM and invited the delegates and their EMB officials to participate in the capacity building programmes at its new campus and leverage the facilities provided to achieve better and professionally managed elections across theglobe. The visit concluded with plantation of saplings in the campus by the dignitaries, encouraging a greener and cleaner environment

ગુજરાતના શિક્ષણ મંત્રીશ્રી ભુપેન્દ્રસિંહ ચુડાસમાએ ગઇકાલે નર્મદા જિલ્લાના ગરૂડેશ્વર તાલુકાના કેવડીયા કોલોની મુકામે અંદાજે રૂા.૨.૨૫ કરોડના ખર્ચે વીર ભગતસિંહ પ્રાથમિક શાળાનાં નવનિર્મિત બાંધકામ સાથેની વીર ભગતસિંહ ગ્રીન પ્રાથમિક શાળનાં નવીન મકાનને ખૂલ્લું મુક્યું હતું. આ પ્રસંગે તેમણે શાળાના પ્રાંગણમાં શહીદ વીર ભગતસિંહની પ્રતિમાનું અનાવરણ પણ કર્યું હતું.

છોટાઉદેપુરના સાંસદશ્રી રામસિંહભાઇ રાઠવા, જિલ્લા પંચાયત પ્રમુખ શ્રીમતી રૂચિકાબેન વસાવા, વન અને આદિજાતિ વિભાગનાં પૂર્વ રાજ્ય મંત્રીશ્રી શબ્દશરણભાઇ તડવી, ગરૂડેશ્વર તાલુકા પંચાયત પ્રમુખ શ્રીમતી લલીતાબેન તડવી, જિલ્લા પ્રાથમિક શિક્ષણ સમિતિનાં અધ્યક્ષ શ્રીમતી મમતાબેન વસાવા અને જિલ્લા પંચાયતની બાંધકામ સમિતિનાં અધ્યક્ષશ્રી દિનેશભાઇ તડવી સહિત જિલ્લા અને તાલુકાનાં અન્ય પદાધિકારીશ્રીઓ-અધિકારીશ્રીઓની ઉપસ્થિતિમાં યોજાયેલા ઉક્ત શાળાનાં નવનિર્મિત મકાનનાં લોકાર્પણ પ્રસંગે શિક્ષણમંત્રીશ્રી ભુપેન્દ્રસિંહ ચુડાસમાએ તેમનાં સંબોધનમાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે, શાળા એ મા સરસ્વતીનું સાક્ષાત મંદિર છે અને શિક્ષકો આ મંદિરનાં પૂજારી છે. તેમણે વધુમાં ઉમેર્યું હતું કે, શિક્ષણ એ સતત ચાલતી લાંબી પ્રક્રિયા છે એટલે શિક્ષકનું કાર્ય ક્યારેય પુરૂં થતું નથી. ઇશ્વર બાળકને જન્મ આપે છે પરંતુ તેને માણસ બનાવવાની જવાબદારી શિક્ષક નિભાવે છે. ત્યારે આ ગ્રીન શાળાનાં વાતાવરણમાં શિક્ષકો પણ પ્રફુલ્લિત મને અક્ષરજ્ઞાનની સાથોસાથ મહાન રાષ્ટ્રપુરૂષો અને ક્રાંતીવીરો-શૂરવીરોના જીવન ચરિત્રમાંથી વિદ્યોર્થીઓને પ્રેરણા મળે તેવા સંસ્કાર સિંચન દ્વારા શ્રેષ્ઠ નાગરિકનાં ઘડતર થકી શ્રેષ્ઠ સમાજ ઘડતરનું નિર્માણ થાય તેવું મહામૂલુ યોગદાન પુરૂ પાડવા તેમણે ખાસ અનુરોધ કર્યો હતો.

मेरे प्यारे देशवासियो, नमस्कार। 2018 की यह पहली ‘मन की बात’ है और दो दिन पूर्व ही हमने गणतन्त्र पर्व को बहुत ही उत्साह के साथ और इतिहास में पहली बार ऐसा हुआ कि 10 देशों के मुखिया इस समारोह में उपस्थित रहे।

मेरे प्यारे देशवासियो, मैं आज श्रीमान प्रकाश त्रिपाठी ने NarendraModiApp पर एक लम्बी चिट्ठी लिखी है और मुझसे बहुत आग्रह किया है कि मैं उनके पत्र में लिखे गए विषयों को स्पर्श करूँ। उन्होंने लिखा है, 1 फरवरी को अन्तरिक्ष में जाने वाली कल्पना चावला की पुण्य तिथि है। कोलंबिया अन्तरिक्षयान दुर्घटना में वो हमें छोड़ कर चली गयीं लेकिन दुनिया भर में लाखों युवाओं को प्रेरणा दे गयी। मैं भाई प्रकाश जी का आभारी हूँ कि उन्होंने अपनी लम्बी चिट्ठी में कल्पना चावला की विदाई से प्रारम्भ किया है। यह सबके लिए दुःख की बात है कि हमने कल्पना चावला जी को इतनी कम उम्र में खो दिया लेकिन उन्होंने अपने जीवन से पूरे विश्व में, ख़ासकर भारत की हज़ारों लड़कियों को, यह संदेश दिया कि नारी-शक्ति के लिए कोई सीमा नहीं है। इच्छा और दृढ़ संकल्प हो, कुछ कर गुजरने का ज़ज्बा हो तो कुछ भी असंभव नहीं है। यह देखकर काफी खुशी होती है कि भारत में आज महिलाएँ हर क्षेत्र में तेज़ी से आगे बढ़ रही हैं और देश का गौरव बढ़ा रही हैं।

प्राचीन काल से हमारे देश में महिलाओं का सम्मान, उनका समाज में स्थान और उनका योगदान, यह पूरी दुनिया को अचंभित करता आया है। भारतीय विदुषियों की लम्बी परम्परा रही है। वेदों की ऋचाओं को गढ़ने में भारत की बहुत-सी विदुषियों का योगदान रहा है। लोपामुद्रा, गार्गी, मैत्रेयी न जाने कितने ही नाम हैं। आज हम ‘बेटी बचाओ, बेटी पढ़ाओ’ की बात करते हैं लेकिन सदियों पहले हमारे शास्त्रों में,स्कन्द-पुराण में,कहा गया है:-

दशपुत्र, समाकन्या, दशपुत्रान प्रवर्धयन्।

यत् फलं लभतेमर्त्य, तत् लभ्यं कन्यकैकया।।

अर्थात, एक बेटी दस बेटों के बराबर है। दस बेटों से जितना पुण्य मिलेगा एक बेटी से उतना ही पुण्य मिलेगा। यह हमारे समाज में नारी के महत्व को दर्शाता है। और तभी तो, हमारे समाज में नारी को ‘शक्ति’ का दर्जा दिया गया है। यह नारी शक्ति पूरे देश को, सारे समाज को, परिवार को, एकता के सूत्र में बाँधती है।
