Bhumika Chawla (born Rachna Chawla on August 21, 1978, in New Delhi, India) is a well-known Indian actress primarily working in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam films. She is affectionately nicknamed "Guddiya" by those close to her.
She was born into a military family and moved frequently during her childhood due to her father's army postings. She completed her schooling in Delhi and later moved to Mumbai in 1997 to pursue modeling and acting. She started her career appearing in TV commercials and music videos.
Bhumika made her acting debut in the Telugu film Yuvakudu (2000), but gained popularity with the film Khushi (2001). She has since delivered notable performances in several films including Okkadu, Tere Naam, Missamma, Anasuya, and Middle Class Abbayi.
Throughout her career, she has won several awards for her acting, including Best Actress and Special Jury awards in various Telugu film award ceremonies.
