SFI Sweeps AUD Student Union Elections 2025.

Union Elections Held After 6 Year Gap Due to Relentless Efforts by SFI

SFI Becomes Stronger in Karampura, Debuts in Lodhi Road and Qutub Institutional Area Campus

SFI has emerged as the largest and majority force in the newly elected Ambedkar University Delhi Students’ Council (AUDSC) 2025-26. In the next phase of election, SFI’s Councillors will play the leading role in deciding the composition of the 5-member Central Coordination Committee (CCC), which is the indirectly elected Central Panel of AUDSC.

“In the last two student union elections held in 2018 and 2019, SFI had won the majority of seats like this time, and went ahead to elect a SFI-majority CCC. Despite the anti-student administration’s deep reluctance to hold the Student Union elections, SFI through a year-long campaign that began ever since the campuses opened in the post-COVID period, forced the administration to conduct the elections. This is a victory for the common students of AUD,” said Shefali, secretary of SFI AUD Kashmere Gate campus unit.

“Over the years, the RSS-affiliated ABVP made several attempts to gain a toehold in the campuses. Faculty for new departments opened were filled entirely with right-leaning faculty, often circumventing the standard procedure for hiring competent professors. It is here that ABVP has tried to influence students, using these newly faculty for their propaganda. Yet, in these elections, students of AUD have wholesale rejected the right-wing communal and venomous politics of ABVP. This makes us so proud,” said Anan, convenor of SFI AUD Karampura Gate campus.

The sweeping victory of SFI in AUDSC 2025 is an undeniable sign of the continuous growth of SFI in Universities across Delhi. SFI has shown its mettle once again in AUD, after winning thumping victories in JNU, Ramjas College, DU-ICC, and the significant rise of its electoral share in DUSU. The SFI Central Executive Committee congratulates all the comrades who have won under the banner of ‘Independence, Democracy, Socialism’across the AUD campuses.
