Cochin Shipyard Limited has delivered Mahe — the first of eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW SWC) — to the Indian Navy.

At 78 m in length, Mahe is the largest Indian naval vessel to use a Diesel Engine–Waterjet combination and is built with over 90% Indian-made content.

It’s designed for underwater surveillance, search & rescue operations, mine-laying and coastal anti-submarine warfare — significantly boosting the Navy’s shallow-water defence capabilities.
