Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in Arunachal Pradesh
We're super excited to share that IIT Delhi and the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) have teamed up to change the game for women entrepreneurs in Arunachal Pradesh! With a new MoU, this initiative is all about empowering Self-Help Group (SHG) women entrepreneurs by making their businesses stronger and more sustainable.
Key Highlights:
Learning & Growth: The program will start by training 100 SHG businesswomen with cool workshops, mentorship, and hands-on learning experiences.
Focus Areas: It will cover value chain analysis, product development, financial literacy, and digital tools to help them rock the market!
Breaking Down Barriers: The initiative aims to fix issues like limited market access, financial exclusion, and branding challenges faced by SHG entrepreneurs.
Impact Goals: The project wants to boost entrepreneurial confidence, get women into formal business structures, and make financial inclusion a reality.
Dr. Sonal Swaroop, Secretary of Rural Development, GoAP, emphasized that equipping women with skills and market access is crucial for transforming rural communities.
Prof. Seema Sharma from IIT Delhi believes this project has the potential to inspire confidence and bolster local value chains, creating a lasting positive impact.
This initiative shows how teamwork and tailored approaches can drive real social and economic change. Let’s cheer on women-led microbusinesses for a brighter future in Arunachal Pradesh!
