APWWS Upper Siang Organises Farewell-cum-Oath Taking Ceremony at Lingki, Yingkiong.

Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS), Upper Siang District, Yingkiong today organized a Farewell Celebration-cum-Oath Taking Ceremony at its office in Lingki, Yingkiong.

The event was graced by DC Upper Siang, Shri Talo Jerang (APCS) as the Chief Guest, and JMFC-cum-Civil Judge (Jr. Division), Smti Epi Kapu as the Guest of Honour.

The programme was held to honour outgoing executive members and welcome the newly appointed team for the 2025–2028 tenure.

With the theme “A New Beginning Rises — Welcome Aboard! Let’s Continue Our Mission Together,” the event highlighted APWWS’s strong commitment towards women empowerment and community welfare in the district.

Outgoing members were appreciated for their sincere service, while the new team took an oath to uphold the society’s objectives with unity and dedication.

58th Jering Matkir Society Foundation Day Celebration

The 58th Jering Matkir Society Foundation Day was joyfully celebrated on 30th October 2025 at DC Talo Jerang Bungalow, Yingkiong (Upper Siang Block).
The event was graced by Shri Barat Borang from Damroh Village as the Chief Guest, and Shri Kaling Ratan as the Guest of Honour. The celebration began with the hoisting of the Jering Matkir Society flag, followed by colourful cultural performances, introductions, and presentations representing the families of Mize, Jerang, Darang, Taron, Takoh, and others. The day concluded with a delightful community lunch, marking a vibrant and uniting moment for all members of the society.

Press Conference and District Workshop on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th Unity March Held in Yingkiong by BJP Upper Siang District Unit.

BJP Upper Siang District Unit organized a Press Conference cm District Workshop at the District BJP Office, Yingkiong, in connection with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th Unity March under the theme “Ek Bharat Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.”During the event, Mr. Kage Dabi, Resource Person and Kishan Morcha State Secretary (BJP), delivered an inspiring address on the ideals of unity and self-reliance.
Mr. Duggong Pangkam, President of Yingkiong–Jengging Mandal, also spoke, emphasizing the need to uphold Sardar Patel’s vision of national integrity and collective progress.It was also announced that a Unity March will be held on 30th October 2025, dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, to celebrate his enduring legacy of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”The workshop concluded with discussions on patriotism, organizational unity, and grassroots development across the district. The 46th Foundation Day Celebration of the Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS) was held today at Yingkiong, organized by the APWWS Upper Siang District, Yingkiong Branch.

Women from across Upper Siang District attended the program, marking the occasion with enthusiasm and unity. During the event, new executive members of the APWWS Upper Siang, Yingkiong Branch were selected. Mrs. Kasimang Jopir Pazing was chosen as the new President, and Ms. Oseng Taron as the new General Secretary.

The program continued with the handing and taking over of charges between outgoing and newly elected members. This was followed by cultural performances, felicitation of both old and new members, and speeches delivered by the outgoing and newly elected President and General Secretary.

The celebration concluded with songs, dances, and a community lunch, bringing the 46th Foundation Day program to a successful and joyous end.

Tuting, Sept 24, 2025:
The Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS), Tuting Branch, organised a one-day legal awareness programme at Solung Ground, Tuting, on September 23. APWWS Central President Adv. Kani Nada Maling, attending as Chief Guest, lauded the branch’s grassroots efforts since its establishment in 2019.

She highlighted issues of domestic violence, drug abuse, gender disparity, and polygamy, stressing the need for legal reforms and stronger women’s participation in decision-making. Resource persons delivered sessions on girl child education, cervical cancer prevention, and laws such as the POCSO and NDPS Acts.

A health camp by the 155 Field Regiment benefitted women and children with free consultations and medicines. The event witnessed active participation from local leaders, SHGs, PRI members, Gaon Buras, Indian Army personnel, and the public.

The programme also saw active participation from Smti Tupi Bagra, Child Development and Protection Officer, Tuting, Smti Ticheng Jamoh, Advisor APWWS Tuting, Smti Tatam Danggan, President APWWS Tuting, along with APWWS members, women from various villages, ArSRLM BMMU Tuting, SHGs, HoDs, public leaders, PRI members, Gaon Buras, senior citizens, Indian Army and the general public, who all joined enthusiastically.
