This is to inform all bonafide students of Upper Siang District that the All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) will organize the Inter-Tribe Festival at IG Park, Itanagar, from 28th February to 2nd March 2025, to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh.

The festival will include:

1. Games & Sports: Marathon, Volleyball, Tug of War (Boys & Girls), Archery (Boys).

2. Literary Events: Essay Writing, Extempore Speech, Debate, Quiz, Poster Making.

3. Cultural Events: Adi Ritual Display (Upper Siang DSU).

4. Miss AAPSU Contest: 5 participants to be recommended by Upper Siang DSU.

Siang Football Tournament Organized by Indian Army Concludes with Resounding Success in Vibrant Tuting

Tuting, Dec 27:
In an electrifying celebration of athleticism, camaraderie, and unity, the Indian Army successfully concluded the Siang Football Tournament on December 26, 2024, at the General Ground, Tuting, Upper Siang District. This spirited event marked a significant milestone in fostering sportsmanship and community engagement in the region.

Under the esteemed patronage of Honourable MLA Shri Alo Libang, the tournament brought together local and outstation teams, showcasing exceptional talent and zeal. The initiative aimed to promote sports and fitness among the youth, drawing participation from 10 men’s and 5 women’s teams, each displaying remarkable skill, passion, and competitive spirit.

The tournament witnessed thrilling matches, culminating in a spectacular finale. Tuting Higher Secondary School emerged victorious in the women’s category, while Nugong FC, a local team from Tuting, clinched the title in the men’s category. The audience was treated to a captivating display of football prowess, underscoring the spirit of healthy competition and unity.

Addressing the gathering, Honourable MLA Shri Alo Libang highlighted the transformative power of sports in nurturing unity, resilience, and discipline among the youth. He commended the Indian Army’s efforts in empowering local talent and, notably, promoting women’s participation in sports like football for the first time in the region.
