الجمعية الطبية العراقية الموحدة للإغاثة والتنمية تشارك في مؤتمر دولي حول إعادة العراقيين من مخيم الهول
برعاية فخامة رئيس الجمهورية الدكتور عبداللطيف جمال رشيد، شاركت الجمعية الطبية العراقية الموحدة للإغاثة والتنمية (UIMS) في المؤتمر الدولي الخاص بملف إعادة العراقيين من مخيم الهول والمخيمات وأماكن الاحتجاز المحيطة، والذي عُقد في مقر الأمم المتحدة بنيويورك بتاريخ 26 أيلول/سبتمبر 2025.
ومثّل الجمعية في المؤتمر كلٌّ من الدكتور أحمد مشرف الهيتي، رئيس الجمعية، والسيد علي مأمون الفلكي، مسؤول العلاقات الخارجية.
وشهدت أعمال المؤتمر حضورًا رفيع المستوى تمثل بمشاركة معالي وزير الخارجية، ومعالي مستشار الأمن القومي، ووزيرة الهجرة والمهجرين، إلى جانب وزراء خارجية عدد من الدول، والسيدة أمينة جين محمد نائبة الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، فضلًا عن وكالات وهيئات أممية ومنظمات إقليمية ودولية ومؤسسات مجتمع مدني مختارة.
وجاءت هذه المشاركة استنادًا إلى عضوية الجمعية في المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي للأمم المتحدة (ECOSOC) بصفة استشارية خاصة منذ عام 2016، الأمر الذي يتيح لها المساهمة الفاعلة في المحافل الدولية. كما عزّزت خبرتها الميدانية في مشاريع إعادة العائدين من مخيم الهول مكانتها كجهة أساسية معنية بهذا الملف الإنساني.
وتناول المؤتمر محاور أساسية شملت الوضع الإنساني والحقوقي والأمني في المخيمات، وتبادل الخبرات الدولية بشأن إعادة المواطنين وإعادة إدماجهم، إضافةً إلى تعزيز التعاون الدولي والإقليمي لتسريع العودة الطوعية والكريمة وفق القوانين الدولية.
وقدمت الجمعية خلال المؤتمر تقريرًا مفصلًا عن أنشطتها في مجال إعادة الإدماج ودعم العائدين، مسلطة الضوء على خبرتها وشراكاتها المثمرة مع الأمم المتحدة والجهات المانحة الدولية.
وأكدت الجمعية أن مشاركتها في هذا الحدث الدولي تعكس الثقة التي يحظى بها دور المنظمات العراقية في تعزيز الاستقرار، ومكافحة التطرف، والمساهمة في بناء مستقبل أكثر أمنًا وسلامًا للعراق والمنطقة.............................................................
The United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development Participates in International Conference on Repatriation of Iraqis from Al-Hol Camp
Under the patronage of H.E. President Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, the United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development (UIMS) participated in the international conference on the repatriation of Iraqis from Al-Hol Camp and other surrounding camps and detention sites, held at the United Nations headquarters in New York on September 26, 2025.
The Society was represented by Dr. Ahmed M. Al-Hiti, President of UIMS, and Mr. Ali Maamoun Al-Falaki, Head of External Relations.
The conference witnessed high-level participation, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Security Advisor, the Minister of Migration and Displacement, along with foreign ministers of several countries, Ms. Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, as well as various UN agencies, regional and international organizations, and selected civil society institutions.
This participation came in line with the Society’s consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2016, enabling it to play an active role in international forums. UIMS’s extensive field experience in repatriation projects from Al-Hol Camp has further established its position as a key actor in this humanitarian file.
The conference addressed core themes including the humanitarian, human rights, and security situation in the camps; exchange of international experiences on repatriation and reintegration; and strengthening international and regional cooperation to accelerate voluntary and dignified returns in accordance with international law.
During the event, UIMS presented a detailed report on its activities in reintegration and support for returnees, highlighting its expertise and successful partnerships with the United Nations and international donors.
The Society affirmed that its participation in this international event reflects the trust placed in the role of Iraqi organizations in promoting stability, combating extremism, and contributing to building a safer and more peaceful future for Iraq and the region.
