⏹ Three Publications for August by the Lalish Cultural and Social Center: Documenting the Memory of the Genocide and Supporting the Book

🔽 The August publications of the Lalish Cultural and Social Center reflect the Center’s commitment to documenting the genocide committed against the Ezidis and highlighting the different aspects of the tragedy endured by the Ezidi community. These publications contribute to preserving collective memory and passing the truth on to future generations.

🔽 They also reaffirm the cultural and intellectual role of the Lalish Center in supporting writers and researchers, encouraging intellectual production, and documenting Ezidi history and the violations committed against the community.

🔽 Many thanks to all the writers for their valuable contributions and for their important role in documenting the Ezidi genocide.

⏹ Sema TV Condemns Incitement and Threats Against and Calls for Full Accountability.

🔽 Sema TV emphasizes that these statements do not represent Muslims as a whole, nor do they reflect the positions of religious scholars and clerics in the Kurdistan Region, who have played an important role in promoting coexistence and fraternity among the region’s diverse communities.

🔽 Accordingly, we call on the Kurdistan Regional Government to take the necessary legal measures, in coordination with the Iranian Consulate and relevant authorities, to investigate the circumstances of the incident and hold the individual responsible for these statements accountable under the law, in order to prevent the recurrence of such inciting rhetoric.

🔽 The culture of coexistence in the Kurdistan Region is deeply rooted in history. Esteemed religious scholars from Islam and other faiths have played an important role in strengthening this culture and working together to promote the values of brotherhood, peace, and social cohesion.

🔽 Although the video circulating online, in which an individual insults the Ezidi community, was filmed and published from outside the borders of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, such behavior is contrary to religious and humanitarian values.

🔽 We strongly reject the use of offensive language or inappropriate expressions against any component of society, and we reaffirm our commitment to the values of brotherhood, love, and peaceful coexistence among all communities.
