‏ 1. Experience in conducting training sessions and life skills activities.
‏ 2. Strong skills in managing and facilitating sessions/trainings.
‏ 3. Proficiency in translating between English and Arabic (both written and spoken).
‏ 4. Experience in educational activities and sustainable development programs.

When wanted to convince members of Congress to allocate more money toward refugee education, they turned to us to connect members of Congress in Washington, DC with Syrian refugees and displaced Iraqis through our portal in Erbil, Iraq.

At the time, the Congress was preparing to vote on the Education for All Act to provide assistance to millions of children around the world unable to access basic education. After speaking with children who had been out of school for two years due to conflict caused by ISIS, the House of Representatives passed the Education for All Act with bipartisan support.

We placed a portal outside the European Parliament connecting elected officials to refugee and migrant communities to highlight Europe’s refugee crisis.

This provided direct feedback for MPs who were able to speak with those on-the-ground to better understand the actual impact of policy decisions.

Shared Studios is excited to collaborate with One Journey Festival– an annual festival that amplifies refugee voices, enhances public awareness of refugee talents, and uses cultural and technological tools to facilitate human connections between refugees and host communities.

On June 25th, the One Journey Portal will return to the Festival on the grounds of The National Cathedral in Washington D.C to connect festival attendees to refugees in Erbil, Iraq & Nakivale, Uganda to highlight their voices, talents and contributions, and to celebrate their achievements.
