Ardawahisht Kollective A collective from within the Iranian underground music scene Ardawahisht is the Amesha Spenta of truth and righteousness in Zoroastrianism.

What is told here, is the truth within you, me, all of us; which no one can see, or hear, but deep inside, one can feel that it’s breathing, watching every minute we walk this earth in darkness. The collective was founded in 3756 ZRE, as a home to the musical endeavours of the Iranian musician Harpag Karnik, and all the related projects. Its main goal is to show the unexplored paths of transcenden

ce and find the root of all emotions. In advance, what the collective tries to achieve, is to gather the less-known Iranian projects rooted within black metal, ambient, and experimental territories. As of 2023, the core members of the collective are Harpag Karnik himself, Earthen Shade, Ardwisur and Taurvi.

Wanderers,

The past few weeks have been truly difficult for us members of Ardawahisht. Never did we think that after all the perils and torments, a war would happen that we, the civilians, had no say in its happening.

During almost two weeks of hell, one of us, Nihil Satan, recorded an album while he was in the Iranian capital, experiencing the bombings and the tidings of war first-hand. Warpunk Propaganda is not merely a musical output; it is a testimony of horror, chaos, oppression, bloodshed and extremist propaganda.

It is not to be enjoyed, nor is it published simply to shock.
It is a depiction of war, as raw as it can be.

It is Warpunk at its most primitive.

Behold the rebirth of Forestionist, the optimistic pessimist and the inner shadow of Etheraldine.

After almost half a decade since his last endeavour, Forestionist has returned from his wondrous voyages through the parallel universes to tell us a story.

The tale is of a distant world where spring never fades, the trees are evergreen, and the fields of emmer are the eternal golden meads that the breeze of the ever-young sky caresses.
He listened to the songs of that world's shield maiden, the lady of unbeknownst emerald; to the tall sentinels of the purest wood; and to the crow, the key to other realms and the anchor to his broken world..

Bewusst habe ich das Gespräch mit Harpag Karnik vom Epic-Persian-Metal-Projekt BROKEN PILLARS an den Anfang der 21. Ausgabe gesetzt, denn es kommt äußerst selten vor, dass mein Interviewpartner gezwungen ist, seine Musik und alles, was damit zu tun hat, im Geheimen zu arrangieren.

Unabhängig von den sozialen und politischen Untertönen finde ich nicht nur die EP "Of Pillars And Primordial Myth" (trotz Drum Computer) hörenswert, sondern mir gefällt auch, dass, wenn Harpag Karnik über seine Heimat spricht, er den Iran als sein "Mutterland" bezeichnet - was für ein schönes Wort (ich überlege, ob ich das in meinen Sprachgebrauch übernehme).

Behold "De Maledictione Vitae et Cycli Vitiosi Aeterni Cruciatus" by Désespéré, the dark manifestation of Urnscent!
It is a testament to the vanity of life that we so cherish and its torturous monotony that bears with itself only apathy and the ultimate state of isolation.
Désespéré has always been our haven for expressing the tumults within and all the misery and austerity that befalls us each and every day, and this album is the purest exhibition of those dark corners of our souls.
This is not music you will hear; rather, it is the frequency of our torment.

-IMPORTANT NOTE-
The album is set as "Name Your Price", for we do not wish to monetize our raw emotional expressions. However, ANY INCOME from this release will be GIVEN to people struggling with mental health issues. We hope that with this humblest gesture, as little as it may be, we can ease the suffering of those going through the most infernal times of their lives.

We are honoured to introduce our latest member and her eponymous project, Mehrshid ( Mahshid Fayaz art ). She is a digital illustrator, fantasy enthusiast and above all, a dreamer. She has always been creating new mythical landscapes around her and through her digital artistry; only to give them a voice in her latest endeavours. This musical project is a collaboration between her and Harpag Karnik, and a journey through the unknown dreamlands.

"Eidolon" is Mehrshid's debut EP. In this two-track collection, the origins of Allaerea, the Twilight Queen of the Sun and Moon, are told through ancient hymns of the ones before.
This will serve as the backbone and the beginning of an original epic fantasy story, which will gradually be revealed during the project's next instalments.
