The commander-in-chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army says the nation is prepared to fight for generations to come to prevent enemies and foreign powers from reshaping their homeland, stressing that the Iranians will not allow their native soil to be harmed.

“We will fight even for the [next] 10 generations or 20 generations,” and will not allow Iran to be undermined, Major General Amir Hatami said during a ceremony in the northwestern holy city of Mashhad on Monday.

He added that using force is the only way to “make the enemy understand that it cannot do whatever it wants.”
