After years of helping couples celebrate in Lake Como, Tuscany, Rome, Sicily, Cortona, and the Amalfi Coast (where I got married myself!), I’m bringing a piece of that Italian magic home.

At Villa Colina, we’re creating an experience inspired by the celebrations we love most in Italy including garden ceremonies, aperitivo hour, overflowing tables, incredible Italian food, spritzes, live music, candlelit dinners and dancing late into the night.

The beginning of Villa Collina.

After years of photographing and planning weddings throughout Italy, I’ve dreamed of bringing the feeling of an authentic Italian celebration home to Pittsburgh.

And now, that dream is beginning to take shape.

We are officially under contract on the future home of Villa Collina, and the design process is beginning.

Our vision is to create more than a wedding venue. Villa Collina will be an immersive, authentic, Italian-inspired estate where couples and their closest people can slow down, stay together, celebrate beautifully, and experience the warmth and romance that make weddings in Italy so unforgettable.

The plans include:

Eight bedrooms on the estate
A dedicated bridal suite & getting-ready spaces
An Italian garden ceremony setting
An outdoor aperitivo area for cocktails and conversation
Italian-designed interiors throughout the villa
Beautiful spaces for portraits, dinners, showers, & weddings
And so much more we can’t wait to share.

Every detail will be intentionally designed to create an experience that feels authentically Italian, from the gardens and interiors to the way a wedding day flows. I am bringing my experiences in the Italian wedding industry to Villa Collina.

This is only the beginning.

We’re planning to welcome our first celebrations in Fall 2027, and I’ll be sharing the entire journey here from design plans and renovations to gardens, interiors and the transformation of the estate.

I was inspired to really stop and think today about some non-negotiable habits that I implement every day. Some days are much better than others. This was something I challenged myself to do today because sometimes I get caught up in the thought that I’m not achieving the things that I want to be achieving, quick enough…

It’s good to remember that the journey is part of the achievement. I challenge you to try to think of at least 2 things that you’re doing every day that you can be proud of.

Save this post if you ever need a reminder but it’s OK to rest, and that what you are already doing is enough. 🙏
