Sono lieto di presentarvi oggi l'uscita per Seahorse Recordings di" Morality Play' il secondo album degli Outrage la band capitanata dal mio caro amico Alberto Tieri .
Curai la produzione artistica di questo album di cui ne vado particolarmente fiero ✨💣❤️

is back with their second full-lenght album, titled Morality Play, set for release on November 14, 2025 via Seahorse Recordings.

The instrumental sessions were recorded in Jenuary 2025 at Hukot Studios in Barcelona (Spain), under the technical direction of Rodrigo “Milo” Gomberoff, bassis of the Chilean project Familia Miranda. Vocals, arrangements and post-production were completed in Italy, at the Seahorse Recordings Studios, under the artistic and technical supervision of Paolo Messere (Blessed Child Opera, Ostara’s Bless, The Big Self).

Morality Play is a circular and emotionally driven album, born from an unspoken inner urgency. It unfolds a sentimental journey, described from multiple prospectives. Each track conveys a specific emotional state through distinct textures, tones and intensity.

The music blends 90s post-rock influences (Slint, Jesus Lizard, Girls Against Boys, Codeine), with dry, obsessive rhythmic patterns that dissolve into melodic breathing spaces, balancing the album’s prevailing emotional tension.

Oggi esce il nuovo singolo di It Sound, del musicista di Seattle Jesse Damm "Let’s Run Far from Here’"

A trance-like jam ruminating on a hopeless romance between a free woman and a man in prison, Let’s Run Far From Here takes a groovy approach to despondency, elevating the claim of “no romance” to a hopeful acceptance of the truth.

The pine box is the casket where the love will end up, while the trees speculate on the woman’s solitary domain.

The song’s texture is created by a bouncy bassline that is punctuated by dragging chains, handclaps, and spacecraft liftoffs draped with the forlorn vocals of It Sound.

The song has the stylistic bounce and jam of early records by The Clean or Belle and Sebastian pressed through a Beat Happening kaleidoscope. It’s DIY, but in an ‘IYKYK’ style. The Monochrome Set or Haircut 100 cut to early Neu tracks.

Let’s Run Far From Here settles on joy and solitude through the lens of the natural world.

The music is complemented by the artwork of Parisian artist Pascal Le Gras, renowned for his striking work, which has provided record collaborations for The Fall, The Jazz Butcher, Jad Fair, Fred Frith, and Alan Vega. Prayers After Dark dei The Shameless ricevono ancora una volta una magnifica recensione su MusicMap!

"Un disco ancor piu' ambizioso dei precedenti, in cui si sono messe a punto le premesse compositive, la voce del leader, il tappeto sonoro proposto, come un arco teso tra psichedelia nuwave ed energia progressive e appunto blues.

Canzone piu riuscita è "Chic Jesus", che non dispiacerebbe a Lenny Kravitz e come ghost track di "Jesus Christ Superstar" (ma Roger Waters direbbe di non dare le royalties a quel plagiario di Lloyd Webber), così come "Nobody save me but you love" non sarebbe dispiaciuta agli U2 di "Achtung baby".

A qualcuno che storcerà il naso non piacerà questa svolta apparentemente commerciale del gruppo, ma siamo solo all'affinamento in barrique delle premesse precedenti, altro che commercializzazione. Il loro discorso è solo maturato, più consapevole e quindi più diretto ma sempre impeccabile negli arrangiamenti e nelle scelte stilistiche, e si fa sempre più unico nel desolato panorama attuale.

Basti pensare a una ballata commovente nella sua semplicità come "Cry cry baby", dove nulla è fuori posto e sarebbe piaciuta al compianto Paolo Benvegnù. A questo punto della loro carriera, che è il più difficile, devono scegliere se proseguire sulla strada indipendente che li contrassegna fin dagli esordi o trovare un produttore coraggioso che imprima loro una svolta (ma ce ne sono ancora?).

Comunque chapeau e avanti così senza paura, ragazzi. The Shameless si formano a Ragusa nell’Ottobre 2016 - auguri in anticipo per il decennale - e sono: Ippolito Nicolini (voce, chitarra, piano, percussioni), Gianpaolo Cassarino (basso, tastiere, violino, synth), Alberto Difalco (batteria), Gaetano Scribano (chitarra, basso), Giuliano Spataro (chitarra, ukulele, banjo). Se li beccate dal vivo non fateveli scappare e tributate loro i meritati onori. Voto 8,5. (Lorenzo Morandotti)"

Si parla ancora in maniera lusinghiera dell'esordio dei Selenia con "Luna Nova" su Radiocoop .🖤

L’esordio del duo casertano è una piacevole quanto intrigante sorpresa, in virtù di una proposta originale, personale e dai tratti raramente praticati artisticamente. I suoni, le arti, le culture si mischiano (fortunatamente) sempre di più e vanno a creare nuove miscele, affascinanti, ricche di tradizione e innovazione. Nel disco troviamo una forte impronta folk mediterranea ma che guarda anche ai Balcani e al misterioso e mistico retaggio nordico, oscuro e umbratile, dal carattere in forte contrasto con la solarità del nostro Mezzogiorno. Colonna sonora di un ipotetico antico rito pagano, i cinque brani sono composti e arrangiati con grande cura del dettaglio, eseguiti con trasporto e sincera partecipazione emotiva. Una partenza più che ottima.
