We are trying something new and might actually finish our first full bag of dried food with Mr Fusspot Claude. Instead of Keith having a few bags left for him.

Been using this out and about as treating treats and can give them this on their own.

Super grateful for the awesome ingredients too 🙌🏻

🐾 DOG FEST, WE’RE COMING! 🐾

This Saturday we’re taking Claude & Keith to Dog Fest… and we are SO excited! 🥹🐶🤎

But this one is a little bit special for us because it’s the first big event we’ve taken the boys to in years.

As some of you will know, Keith has become much more anxious as he’s got older. He’s still our big softy underneath it all, but busy environments, lots of dogs and people can sometimes be a LOT for him. I am making him sound awful here but he just loves to bark which stresses me out.

So if you see us there, we’ll be keeping our distance and giving Keith plenty of space. His safety, Claude’s safety and the safety of everyone around us will always come first. ❤️

Keith may spend quite a bit of the day in his carrier… or, as we like to call it, air jail 😂✈️🐶

Please don’t worry if you see him looking less than impressed with the world — we’ve got him, and we know his limits. 😂

And then there’s Claude… 😂

Claude is SUPER DUPER DUPER DUPER friendly.
He genuinely thinks everyone — human or dog — is his new best friend. 🥹😂

We’re going with realistic expectations, plenty of patience and a whole lot of love. 🤎

I can not wait to share with you our day and realistically how it went. To be honest though im think im more of the anxious problem NOT keith 😅

If I see people I know on here I promise to approach you slowly and dog free to start off with and then introduce the boys to you if your happy with this.

A little clarification after a few DMs & emails I’ve received recently 🤍

Claude & Keith are 8 years old now, and as they’ve got older, I’ve become much more conscious of what I’m comfortable giving them.

There are certain things that are simply a no from us — rawhide, extremely hard toys, antlers, yak chews, bones and anything else I feel carries an unnecessary risk to their teeth or could potentially become a choking hazard. ( i could add way more to this )

Equally peanut butter products we tried one once and just didn't suit the boys.

That doesn’t mean I think everyone who uses these products is doing something wrong. Every dog is different, and every owner makes the choices they feel are right for their own dogs. 🐾

But for Claude & Keith, I know what I’m comfortable with — and these products just aren’t it.

So if a brand approaches us with something I genuinely wouldn’t give the boys, I will always politely say no.

Their health and safety will always come before a campaign. ❤️

And honestly… at 8 years old, they’ve earned the right to be fussy little old men 😂🐶🐶

When people say would you be without a dachshund.

From the age of 5 years old I was asking for a dachshund called Claude. I researched like mad , went into every detail about this breed before owning one.

I only brought a house to get a dog and it was the best decision I ever made.

No idea what they’re arguing about.
But are we going inside? Absolutely not. 😂
