Positano broke our hearts a little. 🤍 Swipe through last to see who should skip Positano🫶🏻

Not because it wasn’t beautiful — it was. The pastel houses, the cliffside views, the sea at golden hour. It looked exactly like every reel we’d saved. 🏡 🌊 ⛴️

But nobody told us what to actually expect before we got there.

The crowds. The steep staircases. The €35 pasta. The “beach” that’s basically a patch of pebbles shared with 500 other tourists. 😅

We based ourselves in Salerno, did Positano as a day trip, and it was genuinely one of the best decisions we made on this trip. Got the magic. Skipped the ₹30,000/night hotel bill. 🛶✨

The Italy trip that almost broke our legs… but gave us the best views of our lives 😅🇮🇹

Cinque Terre was everything we imagined — and nothing like we expected. 🏝️

We thought we’d casually stroll through 5 pretty villages. Instead? We hiked, climbed, sweated, missed one village entirely (sorry Corniglia 😭), and fell completely in love with this place.

This small Austrian city blew our minds in ways we never expected. The fortress views? Better than Switzerland (and we’ve been to Switzerland 🫢). The entire Old Town? You can walk it end to end in 20 minutes — no bus, no metro, just your feet and stunning architecture everywhere you look.

But the moment that hit us hardest? Sitting at Taj Mahal Restaurant, eating the most authentic North Indian food we’d had in all of Europe — and finding out the owner is from LUCKNOW. Our hometown. Lives 400 metres from our house back home 🤯 6,000 km from India and we found family. What are the odds?
