Yesterday, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting beautiful people and attending the celebration of Italy’s Republic Day in Lusaka, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the birth of the Italian Republic.
The event brought together diplomats, government representatives, business leaders, and other distinguished guests, showcasing the enduring friendship between Italy and Zambia. It was a celebration of democracy, unity, and international cooperation, while also serving as a reminder of the role diplomacy and cultural exchange play in building stronger partnerships between nations.
Events such as these provide valuable opportunities to witness diplomacy in action, exchange ideas, build meaningful connections, and reflect on the importance of global partnerships in addressing shared challenges and creating new opportunities.
This year’s celebration particularly emphasized strengthening cultural diplomacy, sustainable cooperation, and forward looking partnerships between the two nations.
