หายไปนาน วันนี้ กลับมาแล้ว พร้อมแนะนำที่พักใหม่ที่เข้าตาเรา Hôtel du Couvent จากอดีตคอนแวนต์อายุสามร้อยกว่าปี ใช่ คือสถานที่ที่เหล่าแม่ชีเคยอาศัยอยู่นั่นแหละ ที่ถูกรีโนเวตให้กลายเป็นโรงแรมสุดเท่กลางเมืองนีซ เมืองชายทะเลทางตอนใต้ของฝรั่งเศส ที่นี่ไม่มีความแกลมแบบเฟรนช์ริเวียร่าเหมือนที่อื่นที่เราเคยแวะเวียนไป แต่กลับซ่อนความนิ่ง สงบ และกลิ่นลาเวนเดอร์ลอยๆให้พอได้กลิ่นอาย ที่ดีไซน์โดย Studio Mumbai ผสมความเรียบง่ายกับเสน่ห์ของอาคารเก่าจนออกมาลงตัว จะเดินเล่นในสวน ดื่มนีโกรนียามเย็น หรือแช่บ่ออุ่นใต้ดินแบบโรมันเก่าๆ ก็เท่ ขรึมในทุกๆจังหวะ  

A restored 17th-century convent reimagined as a sanctuary of calm in the heart of Nice. Hôtel du Couvent trades Riviera flash for something quieter gardens that hum with life, stone walls that hold centuries of stories, and rooms bathed in sunlight and lavender. Designed with Studio Mumbai, it’s a stay that feels more spiritual than showy where time slows, and the Riviera exhales.

Bangkok just got a little quieter. Tucked inside seven lush acres, Aman Nai Lert Bangkok finally opens its doors, bringing Aman’s signature hush to the city’s restless rhythm. Designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, the 52-suite escape is all about contrast—serene, cinematic, and just steps from the chaos.

But beyond the pristine design and stillness, there’s purpose. In response to the recent earthquake in Myanmar, a portion of April’s proceeds will support relief efforts, because luxury without conscience isn’t luxury at all.

วันนี้ เราขอพาไปพักที่โรงแรมน่ารักกลางย่าน Shijo ของเมืองเกียวโต เมืองที่เราไม่ได้ไปเยือนมาเกือบสิบปีแล้ว กับโรงแรม Asai Shijo Kyoto ชื่อคุ้นๆใช่มั้ยล่ะครับ ใช่แล้วครับโรงแรมแห่งนี้มีสาขาที่กรุงเทพฯถึงสอง location ด้วยกัน คือเยาวราชและสาทร ที่เราเคยไปพักและแนะนำมาแล้วทั้งสอง location ความพิเศษคือเป็นโรงแรมของคนไทยครับ ภายใต้เครือดุสิตธานี เพราะฉะนั้นการันตีเรื่องความมาตรฐานของห้องพักได้เลย เราเลยไม่รอช้าที่จะลองไปพักที่เกียวโตดูบ้าง

Hotel:
เปิดมาภายนอกโรงแรมดูดีไซน์เรียบง่าย กลมกลืนไปกับบรรยากาศโดยรอบของเมืองเกียวโต คลุมโทน แต่มีดีเทล เปิดเข้ามาเจอกับ lobby ขนาดกระทัดรัดบาร์และห้องอาหารไทยที่ชื่อว่า Soi Gaeng ที่เป็นที่โปรดปรานของคนญี่ปุ่นแถวนี้มากๆ คนเยอะทั้งวัน!

Room:
หลังจากได้เวลา check in เราก็ได้เข้าไปยังห้องพักแบบ Comfy Twin Room ห้องมีขนาดกระทัดรัดตามมาตรฐานโรงแรมญี่ปุ่นทั่วไป แต่โรงแรมจัดการพื้นที่ได้ดีมากด้วยการยกพื้นเตียงให้สูง ทำให้มีช่องใส่กระเป๋าเดินทางใบใหญ่ๆได้พอดีใต้เตียงถึงสองใบ ทำให้เราไม่ต้องเสียพื้นที่ของห้องไปกับการเก็บกระเป๋า Amenity ในห้องให้มาแบบพอดี ตามสไตล์ Asai ที่ถ้าอยากได้อะไรเพิ่มก็แค่ไปขอได้ที่ lobby ด้านล่าง ด้วยการจัดการห้องดีมาก ทำให้ห้องน้ำของห้องนี้ดูใหญ่ไปเลย มีแยกส่วน toilet และ shower ชัดเจน และฉลาดตรงแยกอ่างมาไว้ด้านนอกเลย ถ้าใครไปพักสาขาอื่นๆมาจะพบว่า layout จะใกล้เคียงกัน มาถึงเตียงบ้าง เราขอบอกว่าใน range โรงแรมราคานี้ เราให้เตียง 10/10 เลย นุ่ม หลับสบายสุดๆ

Restaurant:
มาถึงร้านอาหาร Soi Gaeng ที่ใช้เป็นสถานที่เสิร์ฟอาหารเช้าไปด้วยบ้าง ร้านอาหารตกแต่งเรียบง่ายแบบญี่ปุ่น แต่ซ่อนดีเทลเล็กๆความเป็นไทยไว้ มาถึงเมนูอาหารเช้า ที่เราชอบมากๆ เพราะมีเมนูไทยเป็น 1 ใน choice ให้เลือก แต่ไม่ได้มีแค่ 1 มีให้เลือกถึง 3 เลย จาก 5 เมนูทั้งหมด มีให้เลือกทั้ง ข้าวแกงประจำวัน, ก๋วยเตี๋ยว และข้าวต้ม ที่ทั้งหมดเสิร์ฟมาพร้อมเกี๋ยวทอดน้ำจิ้มหวาน จากที่ได้นอนหลายคืน ชอบเมนูไทยมาก ส่วนทางคนที่ไปด้วย ได้ชิมสองเมนูที่เหลือคือ American และ Japanese style breakfast ส่วนตัวเราว่าอร่อยทุกอย่าง แต่อย่างเราคนไทยที่ทานญี่ปุ่นทุกมื้ออาจจะอยากล้างปากด้วยอาหารไทยบ้าง ไม่ใช่แค่เราแต่แขกต่างชาติเกือบทุกโต๊ะเลือกเมนูไทยหมด

Location:
สิ่งนึงที่ไม่พูดถึงไม่ได้เลยคึอ location ของโรงแรม ที่ใกล้สถานี Gojo มาก และอยู่ใกล้สถานที่กินช้อปอีกเยอะมาก แบบเดินถึง ถ้าไม่ขี้เกียจ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นตลาด Nishiki, ห้าง Daimaru, Takshimaya หรือเดินไปอีกนิดก็ใกล้ย่านกินดื่มริมน้ำ ที่มีร้านรวงอีกเยอะมากๆ การเดินทางเกียวโตส่วนใหญ่แนะนำให้เดินทางด้วยรถ bus เพราะถูกและไปถึงที่เลย รอบนี้เราได้ไปวัด Kinkaku-ji, วัด Toji หรือ Fushima Inari Taisha ก็ล้วนเดินทางง่ายทั้งหมด หรือใครขี้เกียจ uber ที่นี่ราคาน่ารักมากๆ สะดวกด้วย

Place to eat:
ร้านอาหารที่แนะนำ ที่เราไปแล้วชอบมากๆของทริปนี้คือ Yakiyasai Isoya เป็น izakaya แบบครัวเปิด อาหารทุกอย่างเป็น from farm to table อร่อยแทบทุกอย่างเลย ส่วนสายของหวานเราแนะนำ ONN Kyoto Gokomachi ชาเขียวและโมจิที่นี่อร่อยมากๆ หรือแวะไปร้านดั้งเดิมยัง Ippodo tea ก็ได้ เอาจริงๆเกียวโต เดินเข้าร้านไหนก็อร่อย ที่สำคัญ tourist friendly มากกว่าแต่ก่อนเยอะเลย ทุกร้านมีเมนูภาษาอังกฤษหมดแล้ว ประทับใจมาก

Place to shop:
อยากแนะนำให้ไปช้อปน้ำหอม Le Labo ที่นี่ เป็นสาขาที่ร้านสวยมากก ยิ่งตอนนี้ค่าเงินถูกคือถูกกว่าที่ไทยเยอะเลย และที่สำคัญสาขานี้มีชาเขียวด้วย ที่เหลือช้อปปิ้งที่นี่ แนะนำเดินเข้าออกร้านมากมายรายทางได้เลยมีทั้งแบรนด์นอกและแบรนด์ local เยอะมาก ร้านรวงสวยสุดๆ
