⚓️🛳️✨❤️ Sharing my story how I got in this luxury job!
I once dreamed of working in a luxury environment where I could be surrounded by professionals who would inspire me to grow and challenge me to become better. Today, that dream has become my reality. Every day is an opportunity to learn from people you work with, and gain valuable experience onboard.
Let me tell you the story of how I got this job. 😎

There was a time when I stayed up late every night sending out my CV on LinkedIn. I think I applied for around 6–7 different jobs. The very next morning, I received two interview invitations one from Italy and another from Monaco for yacht positions. The offers were really good, and I even got hired, but I decided not to sign either contract.
A few days later, I received three more interview invitations on the same day. The first was from a luxury five-star hotel in Dubai, the second was from a well-known Italian-French concept restaurant in Kuwait, and the last was from France for the Orient Express, the world’s largest luxury sailing yacht.
It was a busy day for me and pressured at the same haha… My lola was kinda upset because I always staying in my room🤣 she didn’t know that I I am very busy doing some work haha… My Dubai interview was at 10:00 AM and my France interview was at 7:00 PM (Philippine time).
Not to brag, but I passed both interviews. 😂 At that point, I honestly didn’t know which opportunity to choose because they were all amazing. That Sunday morning, I went to church and prayed. I told God, “If this career is truly meant for me, please let the right opportunity come to me.”
The following week, I attended the final interview for France. 🇫🇷 The Orient Express recruitment team had flown to the Philippines to conduct face-to-face interviews. Even though it was my first time applying in the yacht industry, I walked into the conference room feeling strangely calm and confident. The moment I entered, I had this strong feeling that this opportunity was meant for me.
Then something unexpected happened.
The interviewer barely asked me any questions. I simply handed him my CV, and after taking a quick look at it, he smiled and asked…..
“Which outlet would you like to work in?”
At that moment, I was trying so hard to stay calm, but inside I was screaming with happiness! 😂 I had this feeling that I was already hired.
Sometimes, faith, preparation, and believing in yourself really do open doors you never imagined. Looking back now, I’m so grateful I trusted the process. Every rejection and every delay led me exactly where I was meant to be. This journey has only just begun and I am very grateful for Orient Express Company for being part of this amazing Yacht sailing journey!🛥️✨🥰🥳
I know you can do it too. Just trust the process and trust the timing. Every challenge, rejection and setback is preparing you for something bigger than you thought!🥰☺️😇
