One of the things that surprised me most in China was the people.
I came with no expectations, but we met so many kind and welcoming locals. One thing I noticed is that many people see meeting tourists as a chance to practice their English, since they don’t often get opportunities to use it in everyday life. That curiosity goes both ways and it led to some really special interactions.
While visiting Chongqing’s famous Kuixinglou Square, we met this beautiful family. The husband is a photographer and after spending some time chatting together, he gifted us these amazing photos as a memory of the moment.
