😱BERGKAMP, Ohhh WHAT A GOAL‼️ | 🌍 World Cup Golden Moments🏆 | No.13
"You never play the perfect game, but the moment itself was, I think, perfect."
On the 4th July 1998, Dennis Bergkamp scored one of the greatest goals in FIFA World Cup history, at the Velodrome in Marseille.
With his Netherlands side tied at one a piece with Argentina and heading into extra-time, three touches from 'The Flying Dutchman' changed the game.
The first was his rise to control a sublime 60-yard pass from Frank de Boer that only the Arsenal No.10 was capable of; the second turns Roberto Ayala inside out and the third beat the goalkeeper, Carlos Roa, with ease.
It was indeed, perfect.
