✨What makes it possible for the interiors of a historic 18th-century palace to completely transform, immersing visitors in a unique and entirely new experience?

Without a doubt, the visionary lighting design for the Alchemica exhibition at Palazzo Bovara, created by Valerio Tiberi, played a key role in this remarkable transformation.

High ceilings were a challenge: our high-performance MOTOLUX motorized fixtures provided the perfect solution. Thanks to their remote-control capabilities—including beam direction, intensity, color temperature, and beam width (in ZOOM models)—all controlled from the ground via the formalighting app powered by CASAMBI, they made it possible to achieve precise lighting effects. Pre-set lighting scenarios were then key to creating a dynamic, fluid, and captivating experience.

💡The MOTO-ZERO ZOOM FULL SPECTRUM and MOTO-ZERO COMPASSO used in the installation are equipped with LEDs offering a color rendering index close to 100, ensuring faithful reproduction of natural colors, contrasts, and three-dimensionality. Alchemica sought to push the limits of MOTO-ZERO ZOOM FULL SPECTRUM projectors to achieve a total spatial mutation through precise color management and the balance of warm and cool light. The result was an unprecedented perception of all surfaces.

MOTO-ZERO COMPASSO, a standout feature of the “Herbarium” restaurant—also part of the larger installation—enhanced the furnishings, spotlighted the tables, and perfectly illuminated the culinary masterpieces created by Chef Federico Vigilante of ALMA, the International School of Italian Cuisine.

It was an honor to be part of the Women in Architecture 2025 festival last week, with the Women in Lighting event in Berlin.

A large and engaged audience gathered in the evocative setting of Startbahn Berlin—a church also serving as a cultural and community center—and, along with us, were captivated by the powerful and immersive works of light artists Helga Griffiths and Vanessa Haefenbraedl.

A heartfelt thank you to Sabine De Schutter, ambassador in Germany, for making it all possible!

This event marked a new chapter in the book launch of the Collected Light Volume Two: Women Light Artists, curated by Light Collective.

We couldn’t be prouder to continue supporting and celebrating such talented women and light artists.

Today we’re diving into some exceptional lighting scenarios created by lighting designer Valerio Tiberi k5600 Design Studio inside the halls of Palazzo Bovara during . Let’s take a closer look at how these stunning effects were achieved.

Our ZERO 38 & ZERO 85 FRAMING PROJECTORS, part of the ZERO FRAMING PROJECTOR SERIES, were the undisputed stars behind the creation of these surprising light effects—characterized by sharp beam shaping, gobos, and textures—featured throughout many areas of the exhibition.

Indeed, the Framing projector's adjustable shutters are used to re-frame the beam to the desired size and shape. Their built-in bidirectional zoom lens provided unparalleled sharpness, flexibility, and lens rotation, enabling precise focus and control. The projectors contributed significantly to enhancing the faceted and textured surfaces of the impressive "Philosopher's stone", casting sharp beams of light onto the walls, precisely framing the explanatory captions, and perfectly highlighting the surfaces of the display consoles. Such sharp beams gave the impression that the materials themselves were glowing.

In Rubedo, this special fixture, designed with exhibition spaces and museums in mind, created the mesmerizing light rays emerging from the eyes on the walls.
The natural metamorphosis of the expansive indoor garden, designed by Antonio Perazza, was elevated by precise projections onto the furniture and seating, simulating light filtering through leaves—an effect achieved with our GOBO LEAF EFFECT filter.

The ZERO FRAMING PROJECTOR SERIES allows curators and lighting designers to cast precise beams of light that highlight exhibits in galleries and museums, leaving the background in darkness for a magical effect.

✨Hard to describe the feeling of witnessing talented designers use our architectural lighting fixtures creatively, pushing them to the height of their expressive potential. This happened during , set in the stunning historic backdrop of Palazzo Bovara, with Elle Decor ALCHEMICA, where we were proud to be the sole architectural lighting partner of the exhibition.

The exhibition—conceived by Patricia Urquiola in collaboration with Valerio Tiberi of K5600 Design Studio for the lighting design, and Antonio Perazzi for the landscape design—offered a vision of the home as an ever-evolving organism.

“The essence of our work lies in the idea of ‘telling stories’ through light”, explains Valerio Tiberi from K5600 Design Studio. “Room by room, we used lighting to follow the ‘alchemical path’ of the visitor, giving each space a dynamic, fluid quality, both in terms of colour and intensity”. In this context, light – whether technical or decorative – also plays a crucial role in guiding the metamorphosis.

💡All the lighting scenes throughout the exhibition were created using our lighting fixtures:
• ZERO FRAMING PROJECTOR SERIES a multifunctional spotlight with high performance
that allows the artworks to be framedwith precision for sharp outlines
• ZERO 33 & ZERO 12 SERIES a low voltage miniature adjustable spotlight
• MICROLINE SERIES Miniature linear LED system
• MOTO-ZERO ZOOM FULL SPECTRUM Motorized Track mounted Spotlight
• MOTO-ZERO COMPASSO Motorized Track mounted Spotlight
• COBRA SERIES Linear LED system
• CANALI EDGE ZERO 80 Hight-performance architectural spots - the extended arm of the top mount design provides extra vertical tiltable and rotation angles.

So many of you tagged us in your social media stories, sharing your appreciation, and we are incredibly proud of the result achieved.
