A few days ago, samples of State symbols and flags were displayed for the votes of Benue citizens, (the real owners of the project) by the Benue state symbols screening committee, in a bid to get an identity for the state.

We received loads of suggestions and inputs and necessary modifications have been made and we now re-present to you the final modified entries for your vote which now EXCLUDES FLAGS.

Please kindly note that:
1. We really appreciate your contribution to the success of this programme and your votes will mean a lot moving forward.
2. We cannot satisfy everyone, as we all have diverse views and so the outcome will depend on the majority.
3. Whatever is on any of the symbols now has been debated and concluded based on public opinion and so whatever you say now or not will neither add nor reduce the value of the project so we suggest you choose that which is most agreeable with you and leave the rest out. For instance we asked for an opinion on a critical observation by some citizens. The cross. Out of the 5,883 people that replied, only 146 people opposed it. So going by the majority of the people's opinions, the cross stays.
4. Your choices have been increased from 3 to 5 symbols so that you can have a more robust variety to choose from since Flags are no longer part of the choice.

The committee appreciates you and wishes you the best as you play your part to give our dear state a befitting identity.

Doofan has found pure happiness in this loving home, so much so that she’s been out of my sight—fully embraced and bonded with her new family in just a matter of hours.

The love story that has brought so much joy and hope to the Benue people.
Today I want to say a very big thank you to the Benue son Ambassador Dr. Torhile Andrew Uchi (KING OF THE BOYS) for making this very wise choice. Our wife and mother Amb. Dr. Mrs. Nimi Briggs Torhile Uchi ANGEL has brought hope to the common Benue people by reaching out to a very good number of Benue people through The REAL shimas foundation in a few months. There are so many uplifting stories you may not read on social media for very good reasons. I have never met someone like ANGEL before, her level of humility and generosity is unique. My story looonnnggg 💃💃💃.....

In my country home of Ipav Mbaikpur, this mad woman attached in this post delivered a baby girl and a baby boy (twins) this morning.

Her identity is not yet known but the babies are taken to a local clinic in the Village here.

The twins are hail and hearty but needed care, clothing and foodstuffs to no avail as at this moment.

am using this medium to call on the spirited individuals, govt agencies and NGOs to come to her aid and the little kids who are at the time of filling this report without food and shelter.

Pls, as you plan to celebrate new year, remember this twins and their mad mother in your prayers and also donate to help them, and God will bless you immensely.
